I'm no Al Haymon fan but I don't want PBC to fail

I miss FNF. There were some gems over the years. not very many

They just need to recoup and reorganize themselves. Stop putting out these garbage ass fights that no one cares about. And stop letting fighters like Garcia scrape out bottom of the barrel fighters like Eggington and demand TV dates and huge paydays. And stop with the million channels thing. It's not fun trying to figure out if you have NBC, NBCS, CBS, FOX, FS1, ESPN, SPIKE, BOUNCE, SHOWTIME, etc. Put your big cards on NBC/FOX Put your semi big cards on Showtime Put your meh fights on Spike/ESPN Do a tournament or something to spice up your dying brand! DO IT FOR BOXING FANS. I mean, no real boxing fan wants PBC to fail. Guys will extreme agendas are just trolls and bitter haters. As true boxing fans, we should want and embrace anything that elevates our sport, anything that brings it to the masses. PBC does that. You don't have to like everything about the way PBC does things, for example I hate how spread out it is on different networks, there is no consistency and even I miss many events trying to track them all - I would prefer one-two networks, same time every week, or twice a month, etc. But that doesn't mean I don't like the concept, and I can see the bigger picture. I expect and hope PBC succeeds and grows.

At least we're getting DeGale/Jack...hopefully. THat'll be something, a good fight. I'm not gonna complain about the fight itself, but SMDH at this being made this late w/both men having the same adviser. Still wondering what other fights he might put on

I think most these guys are inactive because they're wondering why they're not getting paid as much as before. And then desired opponents wonder why they aren't getting paid as much as the last guy... now we have all these guys sitting out/not fighting. Not gonna lie, they made some good fights. Porter probably had the best opposition line-up w/Broner and Thurman alone... LSC and Frampton up there too w/Mares and Frampton and LSC and Quigg but I think Porter had the best opponent line-up. If PBC was more like what he had lined up, I'd be rooting my balls off for it... but PBC is more like Danny's run. Quit the wraith talk and tell it how you feel it kid, we know damn well why you and all the other "fans" hating on Haymon, a black man with intellect and business accumen threatens you. thats why you cats been silent on arum and fishnets garbage ass fights like pac vs bradely 10, marquez vs pac 20 and all the other ****ty ass fights. soon as a promoter who challenges the status quo and offers "change" comes about all these cats is working overtime to see the man fail smfh. That's not true at all, I'm down with the black fist. (raises fist) We talk about Haymon more than Oscar/Arum because 1.) He prefers to stay hidden and mysterious. Mysterious people attract more attention 2.) He has way more fighters than both combined 3.) He has the best opportunity to make the best fights that we as fans are dying for, yet he refuses to do so

It's free, so you just have to learn to tolerate the usual showcase fights, which Haymon is apparently fond of making. The man is obviously terrified of pitting his top fighters against each other. You'll be lucky to see all of them fight in a single year. The over protection can be annoying though.

You actually enjoyed the weekly mismatches of Friday Night Fights? Even the worst PBC events are better than that. I miss FNF. There were some gems over the years.

Seems it's already failing. It will continue to fail if it insists on making meaningless Lara vs Zaveck type fights.

No one man or company can damage boxing. Before PBC boxing exist, after PBC boxing would exist. To think one man or company is bringing boxing down or making it worse is just gullible. I think the only Gullible one here is you my friend. It's just like the NFL or any other professional sport. Certain players re-sign a huge deal then their counterparts see that and want a similar deal. Whether is close to the amount as X player or higher. Depending on their caliber. You need to look around you, bud.

They've lost tv dates and a statement released recently by some tv channels in the US, basically saying they won't be putting on anymore PBC matches. I would have wanted them to succeed 6 months ago, heck even a year ago but they have been too ****, too often.

We have boxnation here which show a lot of PBC fights, don't care what the fighters get paid as long as I see them on my TV without paying PPV for it. I haven't seen anything different that PBC are doing, that someone like Arum hasn't done with Latin fury etc Someone talked about PBC overpaying so it prevent fighters from being active Lol BS! Exactly. The thing is I may not like Arum or ODH, but I watch the most of the small and regional cards they put on. I may not like what HBO did this year, but I watch most of the cards they put on. there are some fighters-Canelo, Stevenson- I have not watched because I am fed up with BS. Otherwise, I watch as much as I can. This is a common problem in all sports-certain teams and stars get higher ratings then others. I just wish more people like boxing and not just "star boxing."

I think if Al Haymon fell in a vat of bleach, mayonnaise or vanilla, a few people that commented in this thread wouldn't be nearly as critical of PBC as they are. I mean in addition to big name fighters they have put on outstanding cards highlighting developing fighters and lower level prospects. These are the kind of shows you'd expect "diehard" fans with an NSB account would appreciate. I'd like to see them use the remaining resources to sort out WW, JMW and FW on Showtime and CBS. I also hope they can make another deal with ESPN for FNF type cards. PBC had great fights this year and they were free. That's all I care about.

As long as they are putting on fights who care? If they are putting garbage on and charging you for it then vote with your wallets. If they are doing it for free then no reason to whine.
