I read earlier Cotto isn't coming back until Feb 2017, that would give Brook at least 3-4months of healing before camp. With that said, would you pay to see this with a decent undercard possibly including Gamboa??
And who wins and how???
I wonder what would you say if Cotto beats Brook..i guess you just gonna put ur head inside ur ass. Cotto is a better boxer and a blind could see that.
I'll say fair play, i was wrong. I just don't see it happening at this moment in time. Prime for prime he was better but he's far removed from his prime, approaching late 30's and inactive. Just my opinion.
I think Brook wins. Cotto is well past prime and has been for a few years. His layoff won't help, he will be 36 when he returns.
He spent the last few years dining out on the fact he beat a disabled Martinez. He lost to Trout and Canelo, knocked out a drained Geale who had already been stopped by GGG and did a few other things but really the last part of his career as an elite fighter has been an illusion. He's been carefully matched and lost to any good healthy fighter he faced.
I don't see how at 36, after a year layoff he's going to be any better. It's only going to be down hill from here. Brook beats him at this stage.I wonder what would you say if Cotto beats Brook..i guess you just gonna put ur head inside ur ass. Cotto is a better boxer and a blind could see that.

Cotto wins. He has fought nothing but top competition his whole career. Brook fought who? Thats right Shawn Porter. Lol.
Experience goes to Cotto. Power Cotto, speed even.
Brook is good. Just not that good.
People don't like Cotto playing his A side game but he has earned it from fighting top competition his whole career.
He is the 3rd biggest draw only behind Canelo and Pacman. He always comes to fight. You would think most people would love him because he is boxing friendly but it seems too many people dislike him for some reason and I truly do not know why. He has left everything in the ring everytime he fights except for maybe one fight and that was against Trout. Jmho
I would definitely favour Brook in this one, it's a great fight. He's the better fighter on the outside, Cotto would have to look at breaking Brook down to the body and stopping him late, I can't see him winning if this goes the distance.
brook wins, and he wins a lot easier than people think. Its a big fight, and cotto loses big fights (unless the other guys knee gives way). Trout beat him 119-109, brook can beat him wide aswell.
Yeah cotto can't win thus one unless Brooks knees collapse
Well, you gotta keep in mind that Cotto's knees also like to give out and often ends up kneeled on the canvas himself. ;)
no way they're going to put brook in there with a guy with that kind of left hook in his first fight after getting his orbital bone broken.
brook's goign to get a soft touch in england and eventually be moved toward big fights. cotto is for sure a big fight, but they won't take it before they get brook a tune up, and certainly not in february of '17.
Cotto is not coming back for anything other than a HBO PPV fight that's obvious. Brook would fit after his fight against GGG. Dual PPV fight. Good choice.
Brook would win quite clearly in my opinion.
117-111, 117-111,119-109. Had it in my head that it was 119-109 on two cards but i got it wrong, just double checked. Still pretty comfortable UD though
Damn 1 judge had it 119-109? I remember saying to my Bro Cotto won 4rds max so 117-111 sounds about right. Once Trout realized how much bigger he was than Cotto it was a wrap.
That's a good fight. I statement fight for both of these guys. Can Cotto still be effective at his age and at 154? This is one of the few fights at 154 I would give Brook a chance to win. Cotto isn't really that big of a 154lber. I don't give Cotto a shot at beating any of the other 154lbers except probably Jermell Charlo
I agree I think any of the belt holder at 154 are to much for an older Cotto, if Brook beats Cotto convincingly and shows no wear from the GGG fight, I like him in the mix at 154 and I think hed be able to hold his own.
