SAUL CANELO' ALVAREZ is the daredevil outside of the ring who is also a thrill seeker inside it. Stopping the adrenaline junkie is the challenge facing Liverpool's Liam Smith tomorrow when he puts his WBO light-middleweight title on the line against the fearless Mexican. Click Here To Read More]
He will look like one, since it will be 2019 when he fights GGG. AT the earliest.
Can he make it and participate in VADA testing?
1) For boxing's sake I hope Canelo grows a pair and fight GGG on 2017
2) That is something I can't answer, that was a suspicious move and to me something smelled fishy in there.
The problem is that the belt they will be fighting for is the MW belt. If Canelo agreed to fight at 160, the MW belt is for 160 doesn't it make sense to fight at 160? When he fought Angulo it was at 154 but he couldn't make weight so they paid Angulo 100k to bump up the weight by 1lb. On that night he came in at 174, GGG came in at 167.8 vs Kell.
Of course it makes sense and it definitely should be @160 make no mistake, I want that fight @160 but let's be fair and don't act like bias, GGG gotta give something to make the fight happen, or else it will be a Floyd vs Manny thing all over again.
For the record just to clarify those weight claims from som fans. here are the official weights for that fight, I think you had it twisted around.

You afraid GGG would get hurt below 160?
Edit: But I agree, they should fgiht @160 I honestly think Alvarez will be a better fighter at the full 160 and it would make the best competitive match between both of them.

Fact: If you make the limit then you made it..
If you make 154 by an ounce then you fighting as a Jr. Mw.
Vin Diesel would say it best "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning"
Can he make it and participate in VADA testing?
Ok, let me get this straight, and I quote you "Why the fvck should GGG let himself be drained" I read a lot of your post and you are "of the people" who think Canelo is bigger and ballons up a ton more than GGG according to themselves
So according to what you saying, if Canelo is so much bigger than GGG and can make 154, then GGG would make 154 so much easier right? because GGG is smaller than Canelo. right? Then what is the problem?

I guarantee Canelo will be fighting at a catchweight on his next fight. The guy is getting naked to make weight lol. He's struggling and I don't think he can or wants to keep doing that.
Why the fvck should GGG let himself be drained.
Canelo and fans complained about having to come down to pounds for the much much lighter Floyd.
Canelo walks into that ring heavy, what the hell does he need to drain GGG for?
Wait, never the fvck mind, I get it, you get it, we all I Get it:
Canelo has no fvcking shot to beat a prime GGG unless he manages to drain him.
Guess what, it's not fvcking happening. Canelo can't escape GGG, he can't fight without it being overshadowed by GGG.
K2 has masterfully cornored the face of boxing into fighting him or constantly having to be tokd your a duck.

On a sidenote, I already said it numerous times, Canelo ducked GGG, and he looked like a coward, don't make mistake, and I put it at the end of my post, Canelo vs GGG needs to happen @ the full 160. but let's be honest, answer this.
Do you think Golovkin would crush Canelo @154? just want to know your sincerely opinion.

Fishnet is taking nonsense. How is canelita a 154 if she barely can make it , she literraly had to take her panties off just to squeeze into it. They better weight her today..
Look at the weight in, smith is slightly taller but if you look at canelita you can squeeze two liam smitsh into her

If Canelo who yyou say is bigger can make 154 or 156 shouldn't tiny GGG be able to??? I mean you GTards say he's a SMALL Flyweight who fights HUGE Heavyweights all the time.
At 34 your body will have more trouble taking off weight than at 25.
In fact that's why they were wanting to drain GGG. You know this.
Fuk even 5' 7" Canelo is a small MW. Most MW's are close to 6'
Average height by weight class:
Heavyweight (200+): 6' 3"
Light heavy (175): 5' 11"
Middleweight (160): 5' 11"
Super WW (154) 5' 9"
Welterweight (147): 5' 8"
Lightweight (135): 5' 7"
Featherweight (126): 5' 7"
Bantamweight (118): 5' 5"
Flyweight (112): 5' 3 3/4"
Minimumweight (105): 5'2"
Only shiiiit, you can't be serious.
When did we start have height division.
I could have swore these were weight classes.
By the way, Canelo is listed at 5'9. In boxing publications and police record.
He also is heavier and gas more reach than GGG does.
I got it man, my point is, its all "he said, she said" in this business! They all back pedal and contradict themselves all the time.
i agree on that, this is boxing an it has been like that for a while...
Oscar, just don't ask for a 156 CW or something, please. A zombie Golovkin is not what people want to see. Canelo outweights him already, let it be a 160. I hope Golovkin doesn't take this fight at a CW since it would not be fair. Move on Gennady...

ggg him self was on a espn show the week after they signed for brook, and he was asked about canelo and the fight not happening because of the weight , ggg clearly stated that the fight has to happen at 160... this all came after his own promoter said " we will make a CW for canelo if he vacates the wbc belt"...

Why do people keep citing these "sources" like they are the truth, set in stone, the law? It's not like they are peer reviewed journal articles! I'm sure there are some other "source" out there that says the opposite......just like peer reviewed literature!

I agree, so sad that ggg was willing to face GGG at a catchweight like he was willing to face rosado at a catchweight, or else it could have been GGG getting that ass whooped in their instead of poor liam smith.

Now that they admit this, will boxing scene finally strip this fraud of a lineal champ crold1?
De La Hoya: "Canelo is at 154, GGG is at 160"...
But NO: once a "lineal" always a "lineal".

Yeah how dare you call a fighter a 154lber when he makes 154 and has fought strictly 154 lb fighters for years and the highest he has ever fought is 155. That's just crazy talk LMAO

Who gave Alvarez this much power over Golovkin and his fans? You would think its written in stone that Golovkin is an unproven commodity until he fights Alvarez. DLH and Alvarez tell Golovkin and his fans not right now and they go into a tizzy and life goes on hold. K2 won't let Trip fight anyone that poses a threat to protect his 0 and aura of invincibility. They also won't let him fight below 158, he looked sick at 158.8 last weekend.
I now only want to see this fight at 160 and Alvarez has gotten used to fighting at the weight. That's what would make this a good fight as well as a big event. Everything should be done to make the fight as close to 50 50 as it can get. That's what's good for boxing.
