Danny Garcia: Berto out, Molina in?

Still no announcement for Garcia. Seems Danny is really going for one-fight-a-year status. What a shame for a young fighter who is in his prime.

he's not getting paid. thats why he was chosen. he fights for cheap. they need someone to fight for cheap since garcia wants a lot. Dude, its John Molina. 0% of nothing isn't much. Whatever he's going to get to fight Garcia is going to be a nice paycheck.

This is a terrible matchup lol but I do agree that money is probably a factor here. Berto has been handed big paydays for as long as he's been relevant, can't imagine him accepting a fight against Garcia for cheap. But John Molina? Let's not act like dude didn't lose every round to a drunk Broner who probably didn't even hit second gear. The sad thing is, Garcia has looked so unimpressive at WW that I can actually see him going the distance and struggling against the taller Molina, who would be smart to fight a similar game plan to Lamont Peterson. There's gotta be SOMEBODY better. I even think Errol Spence's choice of opponents have been better and he was building up for a title shot, not holding a belt.

I don't care who Garcia fights. He's not Golovkin. His fights are always competitive no matter who he fights. Taking a long layoff is what infuriates fans as if he's in his mid 30s.

Berto's fight are always fun, I don't understand why people hate him. And he should be active.

To be fair, Berto is also a garbage opponent and will probably need to get paid more than molina. agreed. in order to pay garcia is 1 million plus berto would have probably wanted at least 750k like his last fight while Molina will fight for 100k.
