Rewatched fight. Lmao. Ggg carried Brook too.
First round ggg backs brook into ropes. Ferocious liver shot then buckles him with a double left hook upstairs.
Magically. Ggg gets inactive and let's Brook recover. Lol
I mean was ggg out of gas? Was he hurt? No and no. He let brook recover for a good minute
Took it easy on the 2nd. Then turned it up in the 4th again then 5th. He was faster in the 5th than he was in the first.
Complete beast
good post.
this is 100% true. GGG was picking up pace as he goes. he was faster in the 5th than he was in the 1st.
HOWEVER, i still believe he was sandbagging in the 1st. GGG hit Kell with a body/head 2 piece. Kell was ready to go farming. GGG mysteriously just covers up for the rest of the round. He had Kell right on the ropes... stunned.
Kell is a great boxer but GGG is just that much better even skill for skill. GGG's jab is so far superior to Kell's it can't even be compared. they say GGG has the best jab in boxing pound for pound. Kell was #2. well they aren't even close.
in interviews well b4 the fight, GGG said he wanted street fight with kell. it's because he saw the photos of kell in tip top shape, and he realized kell's plan was to try and sugar ray leonard him. so he said to himself, "ok, then what i'm going to do, is what hagler should have done, and that's make a dog fight out of it. i'm going to fight him and throw boxing out the window". you can tell he was applying the old strategy of "fight the boxer". he came out, felt him out, got a sense of what his power was like, and then went to work, slowly picking up the pace as each round went on. it was a 12 round fight, so can anyone imagine what the next 7 more rounds were going to be like? GGG seemed to be fighting in 1st gear for a few rounds. then he went to 2nd gear and upped his work rate. was he shooting his load, or was he just warming up? what if he has a 3rd and 4th gear? to kell's credit, he was sharp enough to make the fight a very good one. GGG praised him for having great sense of distance. it's obvious kell is extremely skilled. for another fighter to think they will now come in and adopt that same blueprint and have success with GGG, may find out that they aren't kell brook, and that window may be closed. I think GGG could have gotten the same result and taken less punishment by just sticking to the jab more. i'm sure he will go back and tighten a few screws. this fight will make both GGG and kell book sharper in their next fight
Brook did more damage to GGG in 4 rounds than GGG's past 10 MW's combined. He ****ing made GGG bleed. Give Brook a damn WW the respect he deserve you ding dongs.

Nothing there big dog, but i saw the thread and yes Isaac Clark is also a dishonest moron, thanks for agreeing.
It was competitive for a while. I had it even going into the 5th when I watched it live, 3-1 Golovkin on the replay. Brooks had his moments and looked good here and there. The fact is though Golovkin decided to end it and it ended.
Correct. I think the ref even got caught up in the fanfare for Brook. He called it a mulligan but it was a knockdown. No matter in the end. Brook's lucky his corner threw in the towel. He would in all likelihood have sustained a career ending injury. Fractured eye socket is bad enough.
Yeah, that's a serious injury too. And he wants a puncher like Canelo next. Pffft. His career just just cut short

I completely agree. Boxing went out the window in that fight. Brook was a couple of shots away from getting knocked out on his feet right at the end.
It was a legit knockdown. Some posted the sequence here I'll see if I can find it. But their legs don't even touch and Golovkin lands a shot right on the side of the head.

It's obvious you're a dishonest moron and the Don will not waste his time with you.
1. Brook got dropped in Round 3
2. Golovkin said he won 1 round.
Get your eyes and ears checked, the Don would pay for your surgery on both along with a new brain. Holla at me when you're ready.

I saw a thread where GGG said he lost all rounds so I asked. he wasn't dropped.
I had it 3-1 Brook but was impressed with how GGG dug in and turned the tide.

How when Brook was dropped in the 3rd and mugged in the 4th. Golovkin said Brook won 1 round.

The fight wasn't one sided, why are you trying to hard to make it look like GGG had no competition in the fight what so ever? This was his toughest fight to date and brook was landing clean on GGG throughout the fight. GGG won in the end and would of won eventually had Kell's corner not threw in the towel.
Kassim was a harder fight
So it wasn't just me that thought it was a knockdown?
It certainly wasn't a slip or legs getting tangled or anything. Seemed a punch sent him off balance, thus it being a knockdown.
