Initially i suspected this fight may start as the Tortoise/Hare scanario.. The smaller faster boxer often gets ahead first, that is natural. It happened with Amir Khan against CanYellow... But for the 5 it lasted i had it Rounds 1, 3 & 4 GGG. Brook may have edged round 2. This one almost ended in the first when he was pinned on the corner. GGG hit him really hard in the body then cracked him in the jaw and the legs buckled like crazy.
Brooks best round was the second. He would not have been able to bang it out with GGG for 12 full rounds. GGG threw more punches, and hit with more punches. As the fight progress, those punches will eventually start to take its toll. In the fifth it looked more like Brook gave up, and Brooks corner threw in the towel when they saw their man had nothing more to answer back with. He was tired, hurt from the punches, and injured. Brook won’t admit it, but he looked tired and a little punch drunk at the time of the stoppage.
How in the world could the three judges have had Brook ahead of GGG at the time of the stoppage? That’s just bizarre. I guess in a parallel universe something like that would make sense, but I can’t figure it out. Brook was taking a beating from GGG if you are totally honest with yourselves!
Nice to see the British crowd applauding & cheering & GGG too. Showing a special fighter respect.. Good on em. Brook sir you are a warrior & indeed the special one! At the moment I think Brook naturally belongs to JMW. This guy will be a beast! This is how you put on big fights & this is sportsmanship in action ;)
BJS legit called out GGG too! Do not back track now son.. Make the MW full unification fight!
Yes from Golovkin! What are you people on! Guy was nearly kayoed in one, had his skulll cracked & was left punch drunk on the ropes by 5 with his team asking for mercy from the ref! You people are ridiculous.. Brook landed too yes! Good for him. It's boxing! It speaks volumes for GGG's level that people are shocked when someone lands flush & has a modicum of success.
I have posted compubox & boxstat punch stats & both have GGG out landing him. The fight was essentially a blow out with Golovkin having to adjust to a smaller & more elusive opponent as was expected.
Instead of watching a HBO HL reel try watching the fight & read the punch stats. You wanna keep believing Brook did better than he actually did go ahead. He didn't. I watched it!
Yes I meant Golovkin?
I was at the fight and Brook had GGG doing the chicken dance on a couple of occasions.
Again post the fight or GIFS of these incidents? Chicken dance.. You haven't even watched it! LOL
No just watched a HBO highlight reel and saw it.
Doesn't mean anything though. We saw who the telling punches came from and that's really all that matters.

You must have been watching with your eyes closed. I watched the fight three times and all three times I saw Golovkin CLEARLY lose the first three rounds. Yawl are just here doing damage control and refusing to face the realirty that your boy got exposed.
Clearly lost round one? You clearly can't score fights.
Golovkin not only won about 2 minutes and 30 seconds of a 3 minute round but he rocked Brook pretty badly as well.
2nd round was Brook.
3rd was close, but still prob GGG.
Saw it three times. No idea what people saw either. Kell had like 30 secs a round where he was effective and the rest he was just getting pounded. Only round I have him was the second round.

I'm honestly starting to believe I know **** all about boxing or I just have serious short term memory issues. In fact funnily enough I've forgotten most of the fight again already.
Watched the fight 3 times now and I've scored round 2 and 4 to Brook every time. Every single round was close in my book. I was even tempted to give round 3 to Brook.
By the way, those who use stats to back up their opinions, Brook landed 19 power punches to GGG's 15 in round 3. So it was definitely a close round. However I think stats are misleading so I still gave it to GGG.
I dont get how ppl talk about it being a close fight, when the corner threw in the towel out in Round 5 to save their fighter from permanent damage.
Brook had his orbital bone broken.
GGG after Round 1 went to his corner and said, this guy cant hurt me. GGG put on a drama show, made it a street fight and took a ton of risks just marching forward telling Brook to give him his best shots, GGG ate them and marched Brook down.
:lol1: garbage fight with a predictable outcome... Yet people are acting like there is so much to dissect. Golovkin blocks punches with his face and loves eating uppercuts. Brook got beat down and lost in a one sided affair, although he showed signs of life through out the duration of the short lived fight. :lame:

I was at the fight and Brook had GGG doing the chicken dance on a couple of occasions, one can only wonder what would happen if the injury hadn't happen.
Do you have the official punch stats?
No just watched a HBO highlight reel and saw it.

Bull****! GGG lost the first three rounds straight, he only won round 4 and 5. Those rounds weren't even close, GGG was getting nailed throughout.
This is proof that some ppl don't watch the fight but comment on other ppl visual accounts
said it yesterday that if all the people claiming it was a close fight re watch the fight again they'll see that it wasnt even close. now getting them to admit it wasnt close is gonna be a challenge.

Why would people be suporiused brook was ahead on points? Its called home advantage for reason! When the fans scream at even brooks punches that missed sway judges.
But stats show GGG throwing and landing more show was bad judging. Why do you think Floyd has never fought outside america?

Boxstat also (again had Golovkin landing more overall):

If you really believe that, you have no idea how to score a fight.

At the end of the 4th Brook had landed about 10-15 more power shots than GGG according to HBO

Even the BBC radio 5 live team (British boxing broadcasters, Steve Bunce, David Haye etc had Golovkin winning every round but 2) No way did Brook win round 1 & 3. Joke poster..
Weren't even close?! What are you smoking Tremell?

In fact, Compubox had GGG out-throwing and outlanding Brook in each an every round:
