Kell brook got absolutely battered, end of.
If you watched the sky coverage the pundits and the crowd were almost pretending that kell was even relevant in the fight. Pathetic.
Golovkin was not even trying and stopped him way before the halfway point. Not even close.
okay mate, it might be exaggerated to call it one-sided but its far from being a close fight too
brook sure does have the skill to land those combos
Towards the end of the fight obviously GGGs power took over. But you stop that fight in the 4th, and no one can tell me it wasn't an even fight.
but it wasn't one sided. It's just incorrect to say that when Brook was teeing off with combinations.
Who did the more damaging work? Golovkin of course. But Brook backed him up and hit him with great combos, the uppercut in the 2nd was a peach.
Far from one-sided.

GGG like Conor McGregor, if he ain't KO'ing someone clean, is made out to not be 'winning' or doing so well.
the reality is, he was crusing and comfortable at all times..
Brook only won the second
this happened after
Max Kellerman @Max_Kellerman 11h
After 4th, Roy Jones watched Brook in corner & told me "Brook giving up." Corner stopped prematurely to put responsibility on them #GGGBrook
it was pretty one-sided to me contrary to the score card
and with brook being up in the scorecard doesnt mean the "FIGHT" is close, he folded after the 4th round, they thought they could give 1 more though
close fight is when both are in trouble and any minute any of them will get folded
but all respect to brook, that broken orbital is bothering me though, could sideline him for a year

So in the second and third when Golovkin was swinging and missing, getting countered with left hooks and uppercuts - It wasn't close?
Brook being up on the cards, not close doe :lol1:
Obviously the size/power difference was a factor. But it was definitely a close fight.

Brook didn't win, but he proved to be the better boxer, he exposed Golovkin and at the end of the day, it was inevitable from the beginning that Brook would lose this. But even me, TheBoxingXpert, is surprised at how bad Brook made Golovkin look.
I agree that's why I started to ride wiv slick bruvvas from the hood.
Those cats never let you down with skill and slickness I only want the best so if it ain't so slick I ain't interested
Right... :)
He ain't no slick, he ain't no 'hit and not be hit'...
GGG threw 301 and landed 133 (44.2%), in less than 5 rounds, and stopped da slick bruvva'...
... Vs Brand, Ward landed 190 of 490 blows (39%) in 12 rounds...

This is because at the backs of everyones minds was the fear that brook would get humiliated by the much better man. He wasn't. He stepped up and at least shined a light on all the cowards around the world who are ducking golovkin............Thats something i suppose.

Accurate.
GGG basically touched the accelerator in the fifth when he decided enough 'fun' had been had.
kell did about as good as he possibly could. He landed some great combos but they didnt have any affect.
Showed a good chin but you can have the best chin in the world and still get stopped by power, the same way margarito never went down vs pac but got his face broken.
Kells trainer made a great call, in the 5th kell stopped throwing back for large portions of the round and was on the run, he was pawing at his busted eye and he had no chance at winning at that point and only stood to take more and more of a beating.
HBO crew were hyping up kells bravery and all but going toe to toe like that benefits the naturally larger and bigger puncher in GGG, so while GGG did get hit a lot, the brawl they both went after obviously was to GGGs benefit.
Hey I thought it was a competitive fight, Brook put up a valiant effort, just oversized that's all, he showed he's the more naturally skilled fighter, which most boxing fans knew already.
respect to kell but no he didn't
Kell did about what he should have. He fought well and in the end got broken and stopped. I wish his corner had allowed it to continue so we could have seen a proper stoppage but whatever. Kell is far too skilled to just get embarrassed but yeah, the fight was never really close.

If you watch the fight again, it was actually a one-sided fight, it was oohhhhs and aaahhhhs that put brook ahead on the card
I just rewatched it. It was in no way one sided.

Like I said, all of Kell's effort produced one good round, a couple of competitive ones, an obliterated eye and getting TKO'd before the fight was half over. That's called an ass beating.
Credit for trying though!
Yea and it was a under par golovkin. Any rematch would be only serious health concerns for golovkin.
