Quillen, Lee, Lemuiex, Jacobs, saunders? I mean, we're all talking about a GGG fight because Canelo took the belt from Cotto, but don't you guys think Canelo has a point in the fact he should really have a "tune up" against a live dog true 160 ponder?
I mean we've all jumped the gun on this GGG fight but i honestly am not confident Canelo can beat the top 5 Middlewieght right now.
he guys I listed could prbably take most of Canelos punches and have a range advantage on him.
This is boxing son. No win is a given for any fighter. This ain't the Bucks vs The GS Warrios na mean. All those matchups you mentioned are very interesting and yes i do believe the boi Canelo has a chance to defeat each fighter you listed. Personally i would love to see Alvarez stick his finger up to Gennady and fight his way through the 160 division against the fighters GGG hasn't beaten. (Saunders, Quillins, Jacobs).
GGG needs to move tha fck up already, he has no business fighting guys from 147 (smh) to 160. It's time for him to challange himself and fight guys in higer weight divisions. Can he keep up his KO streak at 168? i would love to see tha. :boxing: son.GGG doesn't need to move the fuk up. He makes 160 with ease and would be giving up lots of size and weight to 168 pounders. He needs to stay the fuc where he is at and dominate middleweights which has always been the glamour division with history. If he continues to beat all comers at 160 that makes him a hell of a fighter. Hopkins didn't leave 160 until he was 41 years old. Monzon, Hagler and other great middleweights stayed at 160 until they retired and nobody thought the less of them because of it. GGG wants to KO both Jacobs and Saunders and own all the belts and completely rule the middleweights. That's a noble goal. After that he will KO any 168 pound fighter fighting today.
"I know it's cool to hate and trash Canelo on here and it's the popular thing to do. That doesn't change the fact that he can fight. He is a good and exciting fighter who comes to fight and that's why he makes the big bucks"
I just think it would be wise for Canelo to fight a Rosado type before a top 4 guy at 160.
I think he can beat any middleweight except GGG. If you don't like my answer remember you asked the question. I think Jacobs and Saunders would be the most dangerous opponents for him but he would beat them with his ruggedness and fast accurate and powerful combination punching and his counter punching skills. My biggest issue with Jacobs is he lifts his chin upwards too much at times. It's why he got knocked down by Mora. It's why Pirog knocked him the **** out.
He has potential to be great, but that's his biggest flaw and what would get him a big loss vs. Golovkin.
I don't know how so many people miss this fact when they mention him vs. Golovkin and claim he would whoop that ass. Golovkin is literally the worst kind of fight for him because of that flaw. He might have power, but GGG has a tested chin.
Yea, there might be a guy out there that can outbox Golovkin. A really skilled Sugar Ray Leanord type guy with a iron chin would get that done. Jacob isnt that guy, Jacobs gets sparked inside of 5. Ive said it a million times, i aint in love with none of these mfers now, the last one Ill let break my heart is my avatar but there isnt anyone at smw , mw or jmw beating Golovkin until he loses a step.
Why do people think Jacobs has a shot against anyone of note around the MW division? because he KOed Quillen? Gotta be ****tin me

Canelo would be a favorite against all of those because of their attributes...if his chin holds up, that is....Quillin-Lemieux-Jacobs would have a puncher's chance but their overall skills are much lower.....Leeis the least skilled but he poses a problem because of his length though he's also very innacurate and uncoordinated, so I can't pick him to win even though the style match up would favor him....Sanders has the best chance to compete via skills+style because he'd try point getting....I can't see him doing any worse than Trout did that way, but with the usual Canelo scorecards, I doubt he walks away with the win...Lemieux would get iced....he either delivers himself to get KO'ed like Kirkland or waits and throws nothing and gets beaten down like he did against Golovkin. Jacobs and Quillin would have to try to catch him with something big because both have been shown to be a bit chinny and innacurate, which spells doom against a counterpuncher like Canelo.
A long middleweight with a chin and decent skills would outpoint Canelo easily but the current middlewights are either chinny, crap or small...
"explain your bewilderment."
I don't think Canelo will be able to push his will not having a size advantage. I think Most of the guys listed could take Canelos shots and land just as heavy and they are larger men. Has Canelo ever fought a true 160 guy? PLus Canelo would have to box in fear of actually getting hurt, something he rarely has to do ever.
I think all of those fights are competitive and not easy for Canelo.
"Fair question, pfp canelo is a level above those fighters and he beats them all if they fight at 154, we have yet to see how canelo does and adjusts to 160, a couple of tune ups vs those guys should tell us where canelo stands at 160 and how can he take gggs punches.."
Exactly. See once Canelo (If) canelo goes to 160 he aint fighting a top 5 middleweight. Canelo will have a couple tune up fights at 160, MAYBE a rosado/stevens fight if he has the balls.
"I think so as well, Its a shame Lee didnt have alot of years with Manny. He is a solid fukin MW just a bit chinny. Not Khan chinny but he can get dropped pretty easily which costs him points but he carries dynamite in that right hook."
I agree, Lee is one of my favorite fighters, he has a thin frame which I think costs him for durability. I think he got robbed against quillin, and I think hes a very tough go for anyone at 160 right now....Saunders is really slick, I think Lee would do better in a rematch.
I like Lee alot. He is a just as fukin scrapper man. Ill tune in to watch him against anyone. He has dynamite power but he can box also, he is kind of like a poor mans Tommy Hearns and i dont mean that as disrespect to him. I wish he had something coming up.
"Quillen - yes
Lee - yes
Lemuiex - hell yes
Jacobs - toss up. whoever lands 1st ?
saunders - yes"
You don't mean it, you can't mean it, does he mean it? REALLY?

"Canelo beats Saunders and Lee."
I actually think Lee and saunders are the ones to beat him soundly

Jacobs and saunders would be the toughest test for canelo
I would favor jacobs slightly over canelo.. Saunders-canelo is 50/50
I would favor canelo over the others
Lemieux and Jacobs may be its power vs power and its either a SD or Canelo might as well get a late KO.. Quillen and Lee will lose by KO within 8. Saunders may edge Canelo if he can manage to run and not gas out
