Should Mikey stay at 135 and not rush a fight with Crawford?

Fighters move up and down the scale too much for me there arent many established fighters who dominate their division and establish themselves as greats in just 1 anymore Mikey Garcia has the tools to clean out 135 and possibly be considered a hall of famer, maybe even an ATG if he doesnt rush and takes it one fight at a time I dont see anyone at 135 that could beat him A fighter with Linares would be awesome Lommey and easter jr. would make great opponents soon, as would the other titlists He doesnt need to rush a crawford fight. Crawford has the size on him and is just as skilled as he is, if not more. I'd rather see them fight each other at their very best lightweight may not be spectacular but their is enough talent at 130-135 for Mikey to build his resume and then create a demand for Crawford also its not a given that he will be able to beat Easter jr. or the other top 135ers, he has to show us first.

I think broner would knock out Garcia Broner is too big for him and has too mch power. Also he can take a punch. Garcia isnt rough enough to disrupt Broner i'm not sold on garcia's chin, i think he is chinny but still good enough to beat broner. imo he is the better of the 2 and he isn't that small.

I don't see a fight between Mikey and Crawford ever happening and honestly I don't have a problem with that. Mikey should settle in at 135 for the long haul and maybe go up to 140 towards the end of his career. On the other hand, Crawford will be at 147 sooner than later, because of how big he already is and the fact that there aren't really any fights for him at 140 but there's a lot of money to be made at 147. As far as Garcia, there are a lot of fights he can take at 135 and I think he should try to unify the titles. He can fight guys like Flanagan, Linares, Easter, Zlaticanin, Bey and Shafikov and then eventually make a final push to 140 to fight guys like Barthelemy or imo the down the road biggest potential fight for him, Verdejo. If Verdejo keeps winning and goes to 140 and Mikey wins a few belts at 135 and then goes to 140 to fight him, that fight could be HUGE

garcia's just back and needs to settle in and fight his weight - he looked like he could lose a couple of pounds so 135 is looking good. stay away from bud though. that guy is just too talented. at 140 he plays with anyone that wants a shot. we need to wait and see if he grows into a proper 147. thing is there isn't much comp. at 140 which might force him higher a little earlier than he naturally would but the greats have been doing that for decades so if he wants to be a great....

I think he should clean out 135, but honestly not a lot of big fights. He can land verdejo, Linares, Corolla, Flanagan but none of those has the sizzle of the 140 fights vs guys like crawford, broner, lucas, etc.. I wish this dude would have stayed with top rank because had he stayed active with them he would have probably landed fights at 130 vs loma, Walters, gamboa, at 135 verdejo, 140/47 manny, marquez, bradley, vargas, crawford.. I got no doubt that mikey would have been a much bigger star had he stayed with top rank.. Probably still undefeated, top 5 p4p and biggest Latino star behind canelo.. Really set top rank back when they lost mikey

Stay at 135 for now and try to UNIFY starting with Flanagan, then the winner of Linares vs Crolla then the winner of Robert Easter vs Commey and by the time he does that he could have Verdejo probably ready to challenge and that could be a HUGE FIGHT if Bob is willing to work with Mikey Garcia which I have my doubts but I guess we will have to wait and see :dunno: But yes I think he should stay at 135 for awhile but he has NOTHING to do with Crawford Dominating a Division is how you achieve greatness not jump from weight to weight chasing paydays. Fight fans today are so CONFUSED and IGNORANT!

I guess he forgot that mikey has already won titles at 126 and 130.....140 seems like its pushing it with his frame and reach GGG on the other hand is in his mid 30s, with a worse resume than a guy who sat out 2.5 years...pretty bad

You got your facts wrong bud Tell your brodda Terence to leave Arum doe just like Mikey, Gamboa, Chavez, etc. I'd like to see them wake up someday and say, man, I screwed up. I really thought I'll become a big star like Tyson doe. Mikey was already getting an average of $750 for fighting guys someone already beat. He got $300K in his last fight. He probably expects to make $2 million in his next fight.
