This is why people don't pay for PPV's

It was HBO, they said that they didn't have the money for the card. We are gonna get more of this stuff in the future because boxers want to get paid so much money for every fight whether it's a fight that deserves big money or not. Mate, even the fuuucking football/soccer players who just run like horses or donkeys get paid astronomic numbers throughout the world, even players of B or C level leagues get paid much more than boxers do. That's just unjust.

seems like every fight which is anything above ****, is made into a ppv. These fighters should be fighting on normal TV, getting the exposure, thats how boxings going to make it into the big time again It was HBO, they said that they didn't have the money for the card. Postol got outsmarted and dropped. It was a clear cut victory for Bud. Now as for paying for it, lol, I got a pretty decent HBO stream and enjoyed the entire card as it didn't cost me a dime.

To me, Crawford took Postol to school and it was a brilliant performance. I enjoyed the the fight. Postol is in his prime, not drained and not old and he got shut down.

True, we need only exceptional stuff like GGG vs Wade on ppv. returd. Wade Vs GGG wasn't a PPV so what exactly is your point again? We need two men willing to engage, great fighters are willing to take chances.

It appears I wasn't the only one who held this fight in such a negative point of view :) I knew I wasn't overreacting, poor people who had to spend 60 dollars on this they should be refunded. Okay the link I was giving isn't working for here but just of it is even journalists were calling the whole thing a very boring 12 rounds.

sometimes fighters are just unlucky. there is no popular bum gatti in the division for crawford to beat up and gain a following. floyd was just lucky in his timing. no one knew who postol was even thoguh he was much better than gatti.

WTF did you expect from a fight with 2 technical fighters? A war? Come on man. Crawford put on a great performance and clearly dominated the 2nd best fighter in the division. Respect.

What an absolute joke of an event! One person just doing enough whatever happened to the times of fighters who sought to be absolute greats the people who wanted fans to follow them? They have became accepted for their boring ways by leftist liberals who say health comes first. Don't you see boxing is getting damaged from this negative attitude? As a Brit I feel completely the opposite to you. This is the way American's should be brought through. When you buy a ppv fight you have various types of fans, and various types of events. I either want to see a brawl, or I want to see something special talent wise, and this time we saw something special talent wise. This was a very good champion against a special one, and on this occasion the gulf in class between the two was large, I don't think anyone expected it to be that one sided. It wasn't always great to watch, but there was enough entertainment in what was an elite technical boxing match, but there was still a good amount of contact in there. It would have been nice if Crawford went for the kill in the last 4 rounds, I think if he would have pressed the fight he would have got the stoppage and an exclamation point on the event. I found it interesting that when the Crawford did stand in round 11 and 12 that Postol still wasn't really able to do much damage, in fact it was Crawford who was getting the best of the exchanges and Postol actually started running away in the 12th round. For his first ppv event I think all round he did a good job, and he will get better with the added confidence and self belief this type of win will bring. I think it is very good that Arum built up Crawford's fan base in Omaha, and did a few world title fights there. I would continue to take him back there from time to time, this is how us Brits build fan bases, the US is a much bigger country so its sometimes harder to get a fighter to become a household name or get the fan base and hit the big gates, I think the way to do this is to build the fighter up in his geographical region first and than bring them to Vegas, or New York, sometimes I think the promoters are too quick to do that because of the money, whereas long term they would benefit from building the fanbase first, and then once they do get to the big fight venues like Vegas or Barclays, they are actually selling tickets and bringing fans over from their hometown. This is the way the British fighters do it, and I think Top Rank has maybe learned something from that.

Crawford completely outclassed Postol. He showed intelligence in the ring handling Postol's awkward style. The fight was just boring. Period. Valdez really was impressive though. Was it worth being a PPV event? Nope.

Crawford won pretty easily but like Lederman said, if he wanted to, he could have stopped Postol. TC is a very good fighter, Postol is an average one, it's a fight that should have ended in a stoppage or an outright beating. Neither occurred and that's bad for trying to create a ppv star.

I actually liked this PPV more than I did Canelo/Khan , GGG / Lemiuex , Pac/Bradley Benevidez was in a exciting fight, Valdez had a great performance and Crawford made Postol look like a Euro-Bum Good Card top to bottom.

you can't tell which fights should be ppv, u can only sell them on talent and past fights. i would've paid for angulo kirkland, pac/marquez 1, maidana broner, but i didnt know they were going to be that good. sure this fight wasnt that impressive, but really its more on postal for not making the fight. crawford just put it on cruise control and postol just kinda let him do it. (until like the last 2 rounds)
