Trust me. SOMETHING will go wrong. Injury. Testing positive. Boxing politics. Being forced into fighting Braehmer instead. Whatever happens, I just have a very bad feeling that Kovalev is pulling out of this fight. He knows that he's going to lose here and he wonders if it makes any economical sense for him to lose his first major fight. Get ready for it...
It could be that it happens, though. It would make me respect Kovalev's courage a lot if it does.
I don't think so, that being said, would both taking another fight be a bad thing? I think Kovalev should defend his title if he has to and I wouldn't be against Ward fighting someone better than Brand before fighting Kovalev :dunno:
I don't care when they fight, AS LONG AS THEY FIGHT! But no he shouldn't drop his belt, I think they can give up some step aside money or something but NO i don't think Kovalev will duck anybody and neither will Ward
Ward vs. Golovkin didn't happen, due to the Eastern fighter not wanting it.
we both know this isn't as plain as a pane of glass .. 2013 & 2015 - blame one guy for each year..
Walters vs. Lomachenko didn't happen because the Eastern fighter overpriced himself.
I don't know where you get your information from or you turn a blind eye to things based on who you like & support but every body knows Walters priced himself out & he isn't Eastern European

Blaming Eastern Europeans conveniently seems fishy & seems like you can never come up with a good cover up..
Yous must be joking. Kovalev went to Cleverly's home town to win a title. Fought Pascal twice in Canada and would have probably fought the pimp in Canada if the pimp hadn't decided to duck. Kovalev has a history of fighting opponents in their backyards and not ducking anyone. Hell he even offered Beterbiev a match and he declined because he felt he wasn't ready. You can accuse Kovalev of being racist, or a murder but not a ducker.
No way Kovalev pulls out of any fight. The Krusher is not afraid of anything. Born killer. Still he will have his hands full with Ward. Should be a great contest.

Idk bout that part but the rest is a fair assumption
I like Eastern European fighters.
But Lomachenko, Povetkin and Golovkin have made me question their courage a bit. If Kovalev enters this fight, I will respect him a lot, and if he wins it, I will regard him as the P4P number 1. But he doesn't stand a chance here.
Must be why Ward needed a million tune ups huh? Because Kovalev is easy work? Lol.

Nice try but it's gonna be Ward doing the ducking. Kovalev wanted the fight ASAP...... Ward wanted 3 tune ups, and tried to have all 3 against 168 pounders.
When asked about the fight, Ward keeps saying the same thing: "The fight could happen in November." Sounds like he is making sure that everyone knows that the fight is not set in stone. Don't be upset when it happens.
Kovalev knows he is going to lose? You not only fancy yourself as a boxing expert but a mind reader as well. What you are is a prejudice pro black anti Eastern European boxing fan and it shows. Kovalev is fearless and he ducks no light heavyweight. You should already respect Kovalev's courage but you don't because you are prejudice.

Great. As if we don't have enough people praying the fight doesn't come off (hiding under the guise of "Ward won't fight him"), now we have this. Let's just keep the optimism.

It is going to happen. Kovalev just fought and didn't suffer any injuries. Ward is fighting a bum (and I am not one who uses that term unless it really applies). They both will be fine for November....and if not, they won't get paid.

I doubt highly that Kov doesn't fight. I think the fight is going to happen as planned unless Brand upsets Ward, which I doubt.
This is HBO's biggest and most important fight in 2016. It would be devastating to the network and the sport's credibility if the fight didn't happen.
The 4 most anticipated fights of the year-ggg/canelo, Thurman/Porter, Wilder/Povetkin and Fury/Wlad 2 have all been postponed for one reason or another. Do we really need the 5th to be as well?
Kovalev was ready to fight Ward the second Ward moved up to 175. REMEMBER! It was Ward who wanted practice fights before he fought Kovalev. It's Ward who is making this fight take a long time to happen. Kovalev would have fought Ward much earlier and he would fight Ward tomorrow or any day Ward decides he is ready to fight.

How are any of those going to be Kovalev "ducking"? People are seriously abusive with that word lately. You're banned from using it for 60 days.

We might as well prepare for the worst. Wilder vs. Povetkin didn't happen, due to the Eastern fighter taking illegal drugs. Ward vs. Golovkin didn't happen, due to the Eastern fighter not wanting it. Walters vs. Lomachenko didn't happen because the Eastern fighter overpriced himself. I have a very bad feeling that Kovalev will follow the pattern...
