Is there any chance Brook lasts the distance against Golovkin? If not, what round do you see him getting stopped?
Vote in the poll, tell me how you think it plays out.
Not sure whether it makes any difference to your assessment of his durability but Brook fought at MW in 2008, weighed in at 155lbs in a 6 rounder, stopped his opponent in 3 rounds.
Callum fought 11 of his 20 pro fights above 168 (he even fought once weighing over 180)... The guy is big.
He's a big boy huh, he looks promising. I'm convinced Hearn is cashing Brook out to build Duck up for an inevitable fight so that Smith can assume his ppv mantle.
4-6 maximum. depends on what kind of fight he's planning to fight. golovkin's goign to do exatly what he should try and do, which is use his jab to set up his power and shrink the ring. brook may try and box exclusively. or he may see if he can get respect. if he's on the back foot i think he'll last longer. by virtue of his size he'll be quicker than the average golovkin opponent, maybe even the fastest golovkin opponent. he'll stillbe giving up two weight classes to the biggest puncher in boxing, with arguably the best chin in boxing, and in light of that realiyt the outcome of the fight is merely a quetsion of when golovkin lands, and if his first big shots put brook out or not. i tend to think that they do.
4 rounds is my pick. you can run, but you can't hide.
Voted 4 rounds, went to type my response/reasoning, saw yours and figured why should I repeat the same thing?
Golovkin is always a quick starter. It should be a 3rd round knockdown and 4th, max 5th round stoppage.
The best and most accurate answer is as long as Golovkin let's Kell last. If he really wanted he could get him out in 1 round let's be honest about that.

6 to 8 round... Mismatch because Golovkin would knock him silly? Wouldn't that happen to basically anyone at 154 and 160? And even 168?
No one from the Golovkin side chased this fight, but no one was available, and they already had a big fight booked in the UK...
Hopefully being a big money/exposure success, they'll bait Saunders for the unification...
I never knew that, Duck will likely make unrealistic demands for 164 again or say he'll fight anyone from 154-168 after Smith has moved up to 175.

Round 8
GGG carries his fighters and likes to entertain the crowd. If he feels Brook is no threat and has very little power, he will carry him so the crowd leave somewhat satisfied
However if he wanted to he could take him out in 3
So you're admitting this is so much of a mismatch that GGG will carry the opponent to make it competitive, like WWE wrestling?
Every fight GGG had was a mismatch due to his superior talent. This fight won't be different. We are all waiting for Jacobs, BJS and Canelo to man up and fight GGG, don't worry.
I picked the sixth. Respect to Brook for taking the fight but Golovkin ends this when wants to. I figure he will give the fans a few rounds.
If he's merciful he will end it with a body shot, Macklin-style.
Surprised most of the picks are between rounds 9-12.
I was thinking 9 to 12 but clicked full distance accidentally. I was thinking that with eubank as well but giving the nod for full 12 on the basis of Eubanks chin.
I'm gonna respectfully abstain from voting. The role that both Khan and Brook have willingly taken is a blight on British boxing.

If GGG carries this dude, that wouldn't be a good look.
Well he can't KO him out in the first round neither, GGG can pick up thousands of fans in the UK if this fight plans out properly. A first round KO would diminish that, if he takes Brook to the mid-rounds with plenty of action then stop him, trust me he would get loads of fans.
