You guys know I'm not sold on Crawford at all, but if he wins this one fairly, I'll give him his credit. I find him extremely overrated skillwise and don't see this P4P level fighter people are talking about.
Postol is a much more fundamentally sound boxer, he's got a much better jab, a sharper, straighter right hand, better defence and he's definitely the more proven out of the two, there are no question marks about him.
I think Postol boxes Crawford's head off and wins a clear decision.
I picked Crawford, but I sure as sh*t didn't expect that kind of domination.
I told all these cucumbers that crawford 'lost' rounds against lesser opposition because he wanted to get timing down for the great finish. He didn't waste any time against the better fighter in Postol. Cheers TC for proving it to these guys!!
Agreed.
Crawford is all hype.
Can't wait for postol to expose him.
Whens the fight?
Crawford already got exposed by Postol, as the top banana at 140. :) /troll
How did Crawford embarrass Gamboa? If anything that fight showed that Gamboa is a levels above Crawford in terms of skill. Gamboa is naturally 2-3 weight classes smaller than Crawford and he easily won the first 4 rounds of that fight, he then got carried away like he always does and it cost him against a much bigger man.
Crawford also struggled with Dulorme for the first 5 rounds, he gave away 3-4 rounds in that fight, against a guy who's C level at best.
I really don't see anything out of the ordinary about Crawford.
Do you see it now mate? ToldYaSo
John lock your a classic case of a bias fan.
You said Crawford has overrated skill yet you don't see the HUGE lack of skill in postol.
Crawford has legit skill Postol is very ordinary and even amatuerish with his skill set.
You only wanted to see what you wanted to see because postol is European but buddy you are waaaaay off with your analysis .
What a complete and utter retard you are. An embarrassment really. I don't give a **** if Postol is European, Asian, African, that had nothing to do with why I picked him.
I made the wrong call and like I said at the time, if I'm wrong, I'll give Bud his props, which I have done.
Grow up.
Woah, got that one completely wrong. No excuses.
Big props to Crawford, he proved himself and barely broke a sweat. Dominant performance from him. Very disappointed with Postol tho.
I've been humbled :lol1:
anyone putting their money on Postol?
Tempted at 5's but I have only seen both fight once. Crawford outclassing Burns and Postol taking apart Matthysse.
Even based on that is seems worth a punt on Victor. Very composed fighter.

i kept saying these stuff, you are right.. but i think craford better of these 2.
Ok first of all, update your sig. I bet you 1 quint Brook takes GGG past Round 8.
Second, I agree re: Crawford.
LOL, first off, how about NO.
Secondly, sure, I'll take that bet on Brook.
The only thing I'll update is my avatar, which will have another anti-Hillary picture on in a few days, this I can assure you.

With the O.P on this.
I think Crawford is definitely good but I'm far from sold on him as a top P4P or an elite fighter.
He was made to look stupid by a tiny Gamboa who IMO didn't look all that great himself until his size advantage took over.
Was not impressed vs the chinless Dulorme & he hardly set the world a light against a heavily faded, very basic Burns and Klimov.
Postol has a good height & reach advantage and I feel he is the better, more fundamentally sound boxer. Higher workrate, better engine.
My personal opinion is Postol is better all round.
The only advantage I give Crawford here is a slight edge in handspeed.
I've got Postol taking this.
Only reason he is a 5/1 underdog is because its in that hellhole Texas.
The fight is in Vegas, which might be just as bad.
I give just a slight adventage to Postol. I agree that Crawford is a bit overrated, but he's a very good cerebral fighter. He has the killer instinct. I rewatched Crawford vs Dulorme and Postol vs Matthysse, Crawford seemed a bit better this time then when I watched the fight live, because I realised he was blocking many of the punches I thought Dulorme was landing watching it live, but still no one should wait 6 rounds to figure out an opponent. What worries me about Postol is, although iron chined, he got caught with a couple of shots from Aydin and Matthysse out of nowhere and I feel like he leaves himself open for counters, but I still have him as a slight favorite.
It's a pretty close one with both of fighters having adventages over each other in different departements. I read some trolls acting as if they knew everything, predicting an easy fight for Bud, but in reality this fight is not easy to predict because this is the first time we'll see both of them fighting a top fighter, it especially goes for Crawford. This fight would tell us a lot, meaning we would be able to predict their future fights against the top opponents with more precision, judging by their performance tonight, but it's not easy to predict tonight's fight because there is no compass yet from their previous fights to tell us precisely what is going to happen.
Although I don't want an early KO in this fight and prefer a 12 round chess match, Postol needs it, doesn't matter what round. A close fight would not be in his best interest. This is not Ukraine, this is America. He has to display clear dominance to make the judges decide in his favor.

if you think postol is getting a fair decision in this fight you're smoking some good ****. he needs a KO to win, or at least 2-3 knockdowns.
