To be honest, you're not even a true boxing fan if you're not a fan of Anthony Joshua. There is simply no good reason to not appreciate what this guy has done and still is doing is.
In only 16 fights, he:
1 - Is undefeated.
2 - Won every fight by KO.
3 - Was the only boxer ever to stop Kevin Johnson. Vitali couldn't do that.
4 - Beat 3 undefeated opponents in a row.
5 - Won a belt.
In 16 fights, Joshua has seemed flawless and all arguments against him seem to be desperate. He got youth, speed, skills, massive size and extreme power. We don't even know about his stamina yet because his opponents can't survive many rounds against him.
Joshua is a nice guy, he talks well and he should make all the Povetkins and Stivernes of boxing feel ashamed for not at least trying to remove the body fat.
The best thing? Joshua will soon have knocked out 4 undefeated opponents in a row (Breazale), which will bring him to 17(17)-0 and he will then destroy either Wilder or Fury. People are still gonna hate on him after that, but this guy is just what boxing needs. Explosive potential. This guy is the future.
You might be right. I just think it's interesting that AJ struggled against Savon in the Olympics, it seems to indicate that he might struggle against a slick style. But whatever, I'm sure we'll all enjoy finding out what he's made of
Yeah I understand what your saying but you have to take into consideration joshua was just an amatuer for 3 years by 2012 and its a huge achievement to even be in that position in that number of years and if you also add tat Savon was one of the top amatuers in the world it's not something to be sniffed at....fury didn't even make the Olympics and was beaten in the qualifiers shows how good you have to be....yeah is gonna be interesting to see that's for sure ...I'm tipping joshua to be the kingpin

Pretty much everything you listed is why I say true boxing fans can't not be a fan of Golovkin.
I am not a fan, nor hater of AJ. I do call it like I see it though, and while he may be exciting at times and brings KO's, he is also inexperienced at the elite level, one dimensional, and has an HGH gut.
I don't think I'm in the majority pal and that's why Joshua is the betting favourite over fury even at the bookies...it's the only the fury hoard that keep insisting fury beats Joshua , Joshua has not even got out of 1st gear yet and besides Whyte has not broke a sweat ..I think Joshua is a bit more than just a banger ..he's a banger with great timing and good finishing skills....would fury be able to walk a tightrope for 12 rounds against him without exposing his chin, fury would be a nervous wreck in the ring if they fight and his erratic movement would be the downfall of him....timing beats everything in boxing and that includes movement and speed.....I don't even have sky and simply judge on what I see and I see a fighter who every time he steps up dispatches them with ease and I also see him dispatch fighters inside 2 rounds who have taken fury the full 12.....I don't think you realise the kind of fighter Tyson fury is gonna face in the ring when he's in there with Joshua ...but you will see

Can see it happening in the future...
If you think AJ would drop Fury as things stand currently, I think you're in the minority pal. Fury's boxing skills are underrated, whereas AJ's boxing is stiff and jerky... he needs time to develop. Not saying it wouldn't be a good fight right now, boxer v puncher is always interesting. We'll see how things develop, if AJ blows out Parker and Haye and maybe some other top 10, maybe my opinion will change
Too early to be saying AJ would drop Fury, though. The man has been hyped up so much, I don't know why people are falling for this BS. FFS, he was doing promos with 'The Rock' last week, it's a media circus over at Sky as per usual

No he doesn't stupid man....in what what world do you live in lol...here your talking about fury who couldn't even school chisora and dropped by a cruiserweight....when they do finally face off in the ring u will see just how dangerous Joshua wil be for for fury and your a fool if your judging it on the klitchcko fight because klitchcko simply never punched....I'll bet u anything u want Joshuas stops fury...name it and let's see how strong your beliefs are

You say AJ would take out Fury or Wilder... Are you talking now or are you talking at some point in the future? Right now, Fury schools him, not sure about Wilder 'cos he's quite a poor champion I think. In the future, who knows.
Props to the guy, I hope he continues to improve. He needs to get more fluid, he can't rely on blowing people out of there all his career

So yeah, I'm not sold on Joshua frankly...but I think even less of David Haye. We'll have to see after the Briggs fight, I think Haye is an exposure waiting to happen - again.
Haye has been exposed? how?
He lost to Thompson when he was too young and inexperienced, got overconfident and ****y in a fight he was winning, and paid the price.
And it's clear the only reason he lost to Wladimir was because of the huge size difference and because Wlad was in his prime and his spoiling, smothering and runaway tactics were sharper than ever. Wlad had to play safety first against the smaller guy because of how dangerous the Hayemaker is.
If they were close to the same size, Haye would have FLATENNED Wlad and you know it, remember how easily he was dodging Wlad's jab all night like ain't no thang? Haye was and still is the most skilled HW out there,
Joshua is improving but he's not on that level yet. Joshua is too ****ing slow for Haye, has glaring defensive flaws and a suspect chin, he'll get caught by one of those sharp af killer counterpunches that only Haye can throw and it'll be night night
I like Joshua a lot but I can imagine hardcore fans would be a bit upset that he's leapfrogging other prospects who are working just as hard as him and possibly even more talented.
It's not even comparable to the hype that lomachenko gets because he's already fought multiple world champions. Joshua is still in his learning phase and with a world title?!
If you're still learning then do it a little quieter and away from televised shows like hughie fury otherwise you'll naturally gain hype and be expected to prove that by taking on bigger risks and earlier on.
Same reason why people were very upset with Wilder, another huge fighter with raw power and athleticism (though less skilled) taking easy fights right up to a title etc.
Charles Martin called him out though. He also called Parker out. Parker turned the fight down.
You only like Joshua because you enjoy wanking over the thought of him pounding your arseh0le with his BBC. :boxing:
You actually make a good point.
A lot of AJ fans are cuckolds IMO.
Nobody's talking to you, retard. Now go and chew some crayons.
By the way, you do know that you've spelt your own username incorrectly? It's "Juggernaught"
I think you might actually be the thickest guy on this site. Well done son.
Ooops lmao

You're not a real boxing fan if you have Joe Frazier in your avatar. :lol1:
I guess I should switch to AJ to get this posters respect as a true fan of the sport.
What are these great fighters in comparison ?
Fury / Hammer ?
Wilder / Arreola ?
Parker/ Takam ?
You are simply penalising Joshua for being to dominant and penalising his style bc no one was able to last long barring Whyte .
Tony Tubbs was called a bum when Mike Tyson k.od him in 2 rnds . Years later he went the distance with Bowe in a competitive 10 rnd decision loss .
As a fan you always want 2 better fighters going at it thats why hes fighting guys who haven't lost yet who are available so not sure where the he's k.oing weak fighters has much merit here when you can only fight limited options at a time !
Martin or Breazeale COULD easily make a competitive fight or at least last 12 with Fury ,bc its Furys style that would enable them to do so. If thats a good thing as opposed to AJ having the abilities to whack them out at any point ,well then Joshua isnt for you . Personally i like the big k.o not dancing around playing points waiting for the k.o !
Dude, I'm not criticizing Joshua in any way. Just a general response to your post.
True fans will appreciate what Joshua brings to the table .One doesn't have to like Joshua , hell root for him to get knocked out but any real fan would see they are getting rewarded with almost a guaranteed knock out either way .The OP's point of this thread was fanboys will hate while the true boxing fans will be happy a k.o machine is in town once again !
You only like Joshua because you enjoy wanking over the thought of him pounding your arseh0le with his BBC. :boxing:
Don't care about him being unbeaten I like the fact he is willing to make a fast progression unlike many other pros in the game and he is fighting in a highly entertaining manner.
Quite frankly we need more people like AJ If we want this sport to reach the same level of entertainment values that the UFC has and that might not make boxing fans happy but it's just simply the truth boxing is lacking the fact that 9 out of 10 times the undercard fights are absolute boring white washes that right there for me is everything wrong with the sport.

Joshua is great for British boxing and HW boxing in general. He's a genuine nice guy, think Frank Bruno and look back at how popular Bruno was, and thats because the British people fall in love with such characters, personalities.
Joshua also deserves great respect for his training, dedication and genuine passion for boxing, rather then simply being here for money fights.
However, we both know that if Joshua faces Haye within the next 12 months, Haye will land with a hayemaker, this is no smack talking or trolling, its being realistic that Haye will land, he will connect and once Haye connects then its fight over, even if he doesn't finish him instantly, Haye is like a pit bull and wouldn't allow Joshua to recover, unlike the DIllian Whyte fight.
So yes, I'm a fan of Joshua and hope he continues to improve, but there are certain fights he loses and we all know how destructive a defeat can be to a fighters confidence and we don't know how Joshua would react to a defeat, especially if he's knocked out.
