Larry Merchant knew plenty about the sport, he's just old as hell. I don't like Lampley very much, but the Lampley/Merchant chemistry was magic. Most of you only started watching after Lampley turned into some weird crying wreck and Merchant was too old to finish sentences. Both were way better than Kellerman.

Sorry to LarryXXX but he isn't fit to carry Larry Merchant's jockstrap. Merchant is truly one of the most knowledgable boxing experts in the world. Larry knows a little something but he lets his bias dictate reality.

Larry is a veteran. He's a lot wiser and calmer than he used to be. All the old heads respect Larry, there's a reason.
