I like Jim Lampley.
The guy comes across as a decent fella & loves the sport.
What gives with him always welling up?
Every time I see him chat about boxing he's ready to burst into tears.
The guy could be talking about a fighter having his hands wrapped & would be reaching for a tissue.
Is he suffering from depression or something neurological
Or is he just a bit of a Homosexual?
If you're chatting about boxing on an internet forum, you really don't have any place criticizing a commentator for being emotional about the sport.
I'd rather be the emotional professional commentator than the geek who staruts threads about him.
Well I don't know about that.
If fat dan Raphael was crying all the time would he get the same free pass?
It might do the portly fuk some good and he could shift a few pounds in salty water.
Of course if he wasn't so fat then could find his own dick and shift the weight that way.
We've all read the Hollywood rumours of guys getting into Hollywood for taking it up the dirty road. Tom Cruise, Harry potter and the rock.
How do you know that's not how Lampley got his lucky break?
Are you seriously suggesting that because a man has had his insides played with by another mans penis and then gets a job..that he is beyond criticism?
Because if you are then that's a bit gay and a slightly depressing thought.
Think of all the young people out there with a genuine love for the sport that are looking for a job without getting punched in the face.
Yeah we won't punch u in the face but we'll punch u in the belly, pull your y fronts down and have a party in your bum hole
That's just not cricket..
Is that what you're saying?

Or the geek who makes fun of the geek who starts the thread ;)

I shed a tear for Ali. I absolutely loved the guy.
Lampley just seems to cry a lot.
It could be because he's getting older but I was just unsure if he liked throating a stiffy in his spare time.
There's nothing wrong with being a dick gobbler.
Gays can still be good guys
Beercules is proof of thatYou are funny

He didn't break down the way I thought he would honestly. They cut away just as his mouth started quivering and his eyes welling up...I don't see anything wrong with it but it's funny that he always does it...
Truth be told, I welled up watching the In Memoriam they had after the fights. Live Schrieber should honestly do voice work on every fking documentary ever made...that was a great little thing they put together in one day.
Look I posted this in another thread not too long ago, you guys don't get it.
Lamps saw Pac and Mosley grow up from young fighters to what they are today. In those fighter meetings they spend hours with the fighters. Considering HBO did many of Pac and Mosley's fights, they become close with these fighters. They experience the ups and downs with them. Lamps is on the emotional side, but he gets choked up because he is close to them on a personal level. He had probably spent many hours with Ali in the 70's and 80's.
Probably going threw Menopause lol
but nothing wrong with being emotional for Ali though, have no problem with that but Lampley has gotten emotional really for NO REASON I'm still trying to figure out why he was emotional after the Mosley vs Cotto fight :lol1: :dunno:
My grampa as a war vet got emotional when hearing such things like national anthem, parades etc so...
I don't think showing emotion is that bad, you can be a soldier and have served in many battles it doesn't mean you have to be some stone cold hard bastard all the time, its obvious boxing is Jims niche.
Well...in terms of hormones, older men are actually more similar to women than they are to young men. There's that. It's more a case of men chemically becoming women than being homosexual. Something to look forward to.
I was going to mention something about Lampley getting older and more sensitive. It's true that as a man ages they can become more sensitive. Hormones and brain chemistry changes over time but also emotions become more uncontrollable as our brains shrink and we descend into dementia, the final frontier. Getting old is a wonderful thing. I can't wait to be sh1tting my pants and having a young hot nurse cleaning me up afterwards. :omfg:
I didn't even watch his end talking about Ali but we all knew he would cry. Just like he would cry after mannys last fight lol. I get he loves boxing but I always thought he was a little gay
