A few months back some morons here were citing a BS reddit post about PBC being gone within a few months saying they were quickly running out of money.
Now its clear that PBC is set to go on a programming spree on ESPN, Spike is still rolling, FOX and NBC continuing alongside Bounce, FS1, CBS, and Showtime dates.
Arum dropped his lawsuit knowing he couldn't win.
So let the ladies try again... when is the new date for Haymon's venture to fail?
LOL. Now you're saying that because Showtime didn't have a 1 million+ card that is a barometer for boxing? GTFOH
Before Cotto or Camelot were featured on SHO, there was NEVER any million viewer cards on Showtime. Ward-Froch didn't even break 700k.
FNF used to average 350k viewers. 30 events per year... that's a glut.
now we have more than those 30 a year on fs1 who don't even break 200k viewers. All these PBC and showtime numbers keep trending down. Anyone think Beterbiev headling on ESPN's first fight of the year is going to do good numbers? Didn't think so
I don't see them failing. I see them getting a network deal. I was reading an article today about sports being the only thing saving cable companies from cord cutting because most people watch sports live. And networks aren't happy with their licensing fees for the 4 major sports. They're looking for cheaper alternatives. I think boxing and esports will get a network deal soon.
Problem is PBC ratings are horrible, for example literally every NBC and FOX PBC card has gotten worse ratings then the card prior. They are setting new all time low ratings every time out. NBC or FOX are finishing dead last in prime time ratings every time they air PBC. And not only are the ratings bad but the product is expensive bad combo. These networks have alternative options that perform better and cost a fraction of the costs.
None of these networks need boxing and are only involved because PBC is paying them a boat load for the air time once that dynamic changes they will either not have boxing content because they will not pay the amount PBC needs or they will go with cheaper boxing content. Either producing their own boxing series and paying promoters/fighters per event like ESPN Friday Night Fights. Or pay Golden Boy, top rank, Main events to create their own monthly boxing series like Golden Boy Live had on FS1. Golden Boy live got the exact same ratings as PBC on FS1 does today but at a fraction of the cost and budget. So if you get the same results why overpay for PBC?
You are an idiot... obviously.
Espinoza(CBS/Showtime), Haymon, Mayweather promotions... all work together to make it happen. Nobody cares about little nonsense labeling except for your retarded azz.
If that were the case then you wouldn't of literally flushed hundreds of millions down the drain to create a new brand called PBC to just continue airing fights as usual under showtime brand. How does showtime buying fights under the old model help PBC? And why would a network pay for PBC a tv deal when showtime not pbc produces there biggest and best fights? LMAO
Of course the branding and labeling matters. You are trying to prove to networks that you can produce your own boxing content and are trying to build your PBC brand with fans.

:lol1: :lol1:
Then why dating back to last year did PBC announce this as a PBC fight only? Just like Jacobs vs quillin was announced as pbc. Yet both were/will be produced by showtime not PBC. so what is the point in spending all this money to create your own brand to just turn around and have showtime produce and air them under showtime boxing brand? If money weren't an issue then PBC would air these fights themselves you idiot.

And CBS might have had this in mind from the beginning number nuts... especially if they invested heavily as well.

Both those fights are bought for and will be produced by showtime. That's the point big fights aren't being made by PBC they are going to showtime or HBO because they can't afford them. Haymons B and C class fighters are headlining these PBC cards now.

Frampton/Santa Cruz is a pretty good start. Thurman/Porter is too. The writing is on the wall. These next 18 months will be important.

PBC did everything right until the actual putting on fights part. They had some good fights. They still have time to get it right. They need to have their young stars fight each other instead of the older guys. It was obvious since day one why guys like Malignaggi, Guerrero, Berto, Molina, Collazo, etc. were signed on to make guys like Thurman and Garcia look good.

I think this OP might be none other than Paulie "eyebrows" Malinaggi himself
He talks just as stupid and pushes Haymon and PBC just as hard...
Haymon has already paid for these time slots, PBC goes out of business when it comes time for the networks to actually have to pay him for the fights..
Ps: they won't
And that's fine, he can still work with HBO and Showtime and give us good fights and we can pass up on all the waste of time prime time ones that he has put on.
B-b-b-ut they had a dry spend in February remember? That's means they are OVER!!!
Ahahahahaha!
No shows in February!!! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

Predict what? it all depends on what PBC is prepared to do they could make PBC more irrelevant just to last a few more months then it should... the end game is still the same. They already turned PBC from we taken over boxing and putting everyone else out of business to OK we sending all our best fighters back to same ol HBO and Showtime. PBC is no longer competing with HBO they are competing with Friday night fights. The fact that Haymon doesn't feel the need or can't afford to send his own top fighters to PBC anymore says all you need to know about their future. Ratings in the toilet, losing hundreds of millions. Never going out of business? they don't even have a network deal they pay the networks and can't afford to fill out all the air time they already paid for last year.
And yet you still aren't willing to put your tiny nuts up and bet how long PBC will be around for.
Tiny nuts
Ahahaha! And yet STILL your pathetic self can't make a bet or predict a date when PBC is gone.
WEAK!
PBC will probably never go out of business. There is NO competition in boxing outside of HBO and even then Haymon will continue getting more and more fighters on HBO until they run EVERYTHING.
TR can have their little Spanish network lol

10 years? You dumb ass they cancel operations for 2 months zero PBC cards in Feb and march. Does that sound like they have money to fund this crap out of pocket for 10 more years? ESPN went from a monthly series to now a summer only series. They can't even afford to pay the A list fighters anymore. They decided only way to extend the life of PBC was to cancel half the shows in 2016 and only pay for cheaper B and C class fighters. They are no longer paying for the high priced all star on air crew they announced when they debuted last year. You don't make drastic cuts like this after 1 year if you have cash to last you 10 years. And no network is going to pay for this dumpster fire mess that gets crappy ratings. When PBC can't or is unwilling to continue paying their own money is when they go out of business. Only question is how much money are they willing to lose until that day comes. All the cuts they made have had zero impact on the PBC brand or ratings.

So being that they raised $925 million and are cutting back on purses... they will be around for at least another 10 years!
Enjoy... LOL

when they can no longer pay for it. Right now PBC airs because they pay the networks and pay millions of investors money on purse and production costs. None of these networks will pay for this crap once the money runs dry. Now whether PBC wants to cancel more shows or turn PBC into ESPN2 Friday night fights quality fights will obviously delay the inevitable.
Why Celebrate? because they running low on money have investors suing them and canceled more then half their fights in 2016 and went from guys like Thurman and Danny Garcia headlining fights on ESPN to Beterbiev? PBC has downgraded while haymon sends his relevant fights to showtime. PBC either closes shop soon cutting their loses or becomes irrelevant airing cheaper B and C class fights that pull terrible ratings until the network buy time is over. You too stupid to realize neither is a success.

When is PBC supposed to fold again? LOL

And you are a pathetic alt. PBC will fold when they can't afford to pay for these fights anymore because NOBODY will pay a dime for this crap that pulls terrible ratings and loses millions each show. Now whether that happens next month or if PBC cancels 20 more shows to drag this on 6 more months. Neither is a success for PBC. They can't even afford to send the A list fighters to PBC anymore. Fonfara is headlining the next NBC card and Beterbiev is fighting a bum tuneup fight for the grand return to espn. But throw a celebration because PBC has downgraded everything to stay in business with C and B class fights.
You are a weak moron.
When is PBC supposed to fold again? LOL
That's only because of the glut of cards on tv. Not one 1million+ Card on Showtime this year.....think about.
And 1million plus in a country of over 300 million isn't even 1% of the potential audience
