He doesn't have that great of a chin but I wouldn't be basing that on the Canelo fight, that punch would have KO'd anyone. He did eat some left hooks from Canelo which I thought he took pretty well.
I'm not sure if bad chin or horrible lack of focus and defense
I mean the shot that koed khan, diud Floyd take anything like that in 12 rounds against nelo
Floyd's concentration level is obviously on a completely different level.
The canelo KO doesn't prove Khan has a bad chin. Look at Algieri and Diaz fights too. Soft shots that makes him wobble like a baby deer. That's a sign of a bad chin.
The KO will do nothing to help his chin. It's only getting worse from here.
He's always had poor punch resistance. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in serious denial. Combine that with a sloppy defense and low fight IQ and you have a guy who is prone to getting knocked out and is always in danger of it.
Outside of perhaps Marvelous Marvin Hagler or maybe James Toney, I have never seen a stronger chin in my life. He was just always caught with the ultimately perfect punch. Its bad luck.
I have seen Khan fans on here defending their guy to the hilt
The question is: How strong is this guys chin?
He has some type of Punjab/British hybrid china. I hear he gets wobbled if the breeze pics up outside.
I think his chin is below average for high level boxers but not glass. The punch Canelo hit him with was a bomb that would have KOed almost any fighter. Khan has gone the distance with Maidana and stayed on his feet and he has defeated Judah who hits pretty hard. His chin is weak but it gets exaggerated how weak it is. It's not that bad or he wouldn't have done as well as he has.
