No there a purse bid on the 24 where they would have split the fight 50/50 knowing danm well GGG doesn't deserve that in a conelo fight.......at 160 weight favors ggg 155 favors conelo make the fight at 157 now and get the pay day......conelo is bigger the.belt.....conelo still Ganna get a bigger purse then GGG even if he had all the belts at 160 Canelo probably outweighs GGG tbh.

Dude I love GGG but I'm not a guy who is just going to sit back and just accept just regular mandatory style fight from him. Plus it ain't like Canelo couldn't have beaten GGG opponents, I'm not so certain about saying that about GGG when it comes to the guys Canelo has fought. Look I can see and recognize how good GGG is, so with that I want him to fight the best out there everytime. I hate fanboying any fighter because then it clouds your judgement on him and his opponentents. I've said it many times on here, when I like a fighter I'm more harder on them and expect much more out of them and GGG is a fighter I like. He has fought some decent ok fighters and I know some fighters are ducking him but he needs to make some consessions if he wants to get the fighters ducking him to fight him. How good is Canelo really, though? Would we EVER see GGG struggling like Canelo was to try and hit Lara? Watch GGG in the amateurs for the love of god don't go on what you think is the case watch the guy in his amateur days he is blatantly miles above Canelo in his boxing IQ he is smarter and more capable. GGG would have backed guys like Lara, Trout, Mosley, Khan and Cotto all up and he'd have flattened them out clean out KO no question in my mind about it. Canelo is just a big dude who picks on small guys and he KO's them because of his massive weight advantage I ain't saying Canelo isn't good but IF he was as good as he thinks he is and If GGG wasn't as much of a threat and the hype to this fight was the same as now you can bet your ass Canelo wouldn't have dropped his belt he'd have been up for it.

Thing is boxing is a business, not a sport, and his team will make a whole lot more money by matching canelo with tomato cans and winning easy fights than by getting mauled by ggg. Sad but true. Canelo's not a chicken; with no outside body able to dictate anything to him, Canelo can stage fights at whatever weight he's most comfortable at (and pay his opponent what he feels comfortable needing to pay). Chicken, no excusing it. He is massive for his own weight division (155lbs) He'd make 160 with sheer ease he just is afraid of facing guys who he won't have a massive advantage over. I think he is avoiding a fight with GGG. That makes him exactly as much a chicken as Martinez, Cotto, Jacobs, Quillen and Saunders who all avoided or are currently avoiding a fight with GGG. Canelo is no more of a chicken and no less of a chicken than they are. All of them would benefit greatly from a win over GGG but they are all afraid of losing and getting KOed. Ducking GGG is ducking GGG. Don't single out Canelo only.

Like I said im no fanboy of any boxer. But if Canelo doesn't fight GGG id be very disappointed especially since he already has fought lots of great fighters. SMDH Canelo needs to step up again and fight GGG, but the same goes for GGG he needs to step up even more and prove himself. Everyone knows how you get there by avoiding real challenges but it still on the minds of the small minded! The weight excuss is a joke Canelo weights over 170 after the 155 mark so he IS a Middleweight when the bell rings. In fact he weighs more than GGG come bell time. I think Canelo surprises GGG if he gets in tremendous condition and gets Golovkin into the late rounds. However he must use lateral movement AND step in with solid shots and get out! He has the talent and the skills but he may not have the mental strength to see it through. His conditioning must improve because getting hit by GGG isn't getting hit by Cotto. Cotto can't punch, GGG can! I don't think Canelo is afraid of GGG at all but I know Oscar is! Ray

Not a chicken obviously. But he wants everything on his terms. The amount of cash demanded by fighters to accept decent fights is unreal now. Killing the sport. The heavyweight division is crucial at the moment. The big lads take chances. Canelo (more likely his handlers) has basically ruined two divisions if not three if they are going to continue to drag up welters to 155.

Only time will tell. I'll wait 3 to 6 months then make my decision. Either way GGG > Canelo
