I sparred Yuri Vaulin a few times back in late 90's in a gym he was teaching classes he was done competing in boxing .He did have an MMA fight around that time period ,i rember talking to him about it. Ive also fought in some tournaments with a friend who fought Wilder early in his career. If youlook up Bill Sharkey i trained with him for a short time he also has fights with Mike Weaver and Bruno ,he was a bit small for a HW but tough ,more of a street fighter . I Know Owen Beck as well we sat next to each other at a hall of fame event for martial artist ,Ali was giving a award too thqt night. This was before his Valuev fight, Beck is actually more of a martial artist ,one of my instructors in Tennessee trains him. Jameel McCline is probably the friendliest fighter i met his manager owned my building in N.Y so i would run into him often .
I have a story of Briggs and me too in 2008...lol
We don't get the big names up here in Edmonton.
I have neighbor down the block ,he has Sugar Ray Leanords speed bag that was custom made for him in his backyard .He was into boxing back in the day and was also Macho Camachos bodyguard for a minute. Anyway i didnt know him last year and i walked past his house and saw it .I asked if i could give a go ,the bag is real small and he had this look like theres no way i would be able to hit it ,lets just say he was shocked and said he never saw anyone hit it that fast including Leanord .Iwon a few beers and a few good stories from him..i had it on F book but i had deleted some vids instead of hide them  :pat:
I'll do another one this summer maybe post it up !That's cool... My only encounter was with Tye Fields. He fought out of my hometown for a few years. I have a few videos of him & Cisse Salif sparring & training for Nicolai Firtha & Jason Gavern...
I'll check it out if i can get another account .... i have alot of tues nite fights ,i think i had one of chris Byrds first t.v fights ,i mistakenly taped over some of them like Holyfield vs Mercer!
nice... I think I know the byrd fight as I have it too. You must be around my age? I'm 41 & I think you said you were 42. We both probably got good collections. I order many of mine overseas from contacts so I could be well informed of the euro scene back in the 90s & 2000s before all the youtube stuff. Joe Boxingscene Boxer is my FB account for boxing. It's use for boxing fights & talk only. The link is in my signature on every post I make. I'll check out your you tube
You dont need t.v to watch TELEVISED theres the INTERNET ,the internet you are posting on now! :wow:
The rest you stated is already rehashed things ive covered ,if you really think Chisora makes Furys resume head and shoulders above Joshua theres nothing i can do about that ,better you than me . What do you mean by active fighters ? Im not on f book much ,i do have a you tube page where you should set one up and post if your looking for input.my you boxing channel got shutdown with all my HW fights. too many copyright infringements. I started a private FB account solely to post all my HW fights. I have over 2000. Ranging from the 80s up to the present. I got a lot of fights that you can't find that were well before youtube existed. I taped them off regular tv like Tuesday night fights in the 90s, etc. I did all the active fighters first so anyone who may have missed some fights can catch up. Today I'm starting all the inactive or retired fights from the 80s,90s & early 2000s. Make a fake account & send me a request. all friends list is hidden. Watch any fight & feel free to discuss. I still have many fighters careers to post so it will take time. I list the fighters I have done on my timeline around Febuary but I update when I add a fight. Just go to search on my FB for a fight you want to watch, type in the fight & it will appear. Example Deontay Wilder vs Malik Scott. Type that fight in the search engine & it will appear. All fights are private so you must be on the friends list. I use to put them here but too hard to reload dead links. When I add more fights to my FB boxing account I will post them on my thread about my FB account.
Great resume? NO but he won 2 title eliminators & beat the true HW champion of the world. As for Breazeale how many fights have you actually seen of him? I got all 8 fights that were televised. How many of them have you seen? I have all Joshua & Fury's fights as well. When I talk about a fighter it's coming from actually watching all their fights that I can. Have you seen all 8 televised Breazeale fights? Have you seen any of the other 8 that were not televised? Just curious to know if you actually watch fights or if you are just another "look at boxingrec" poster to determine how dangerous a guy is...

As stated you dont compare resumes you compare the fighters being matched and i see no one on Alis resume that Fury wouldn't out box ,hes simply to big not necessarily skilled though im pretty sure he would level quite a few of the 70's boxers so you can claim im biased but im the most real poster on this site when it comes to breaking down figters. You cannot give one full credit for an opponent that doesnt throw punches theres no credit to give. Chisora is a gate keeper no better than the other guys really and i would have Breazeale over him because i can see who the more dangerous fighters are. You Probably wont see it bc Joshua in all likely hood walks thru him ,so like the majority you will say Joshua hasnt fought anyone and thats typical when someone wins easy bc that must mean the opposition is weak.
Whats still gets me is anyone who says Joshua only fought B level opponents is basically saying so did Fury ? No one ever said Fury had a good resume prior to Wlad ,now all of a sudden his resume is great ? lolGreat resume? NO but he won 2 title eliminators & beat the true HW champion of the world. As for Breazeale how many fights have you actually seen of him? I got all 8 fights that were televised. How many of them have you seen? I have all Joshua & Fury's fights as well. I got all the active fighters pretty much don except a few. ALL THE ACTIVE FIGHTERS fights I have are already up. I'm starting retired fighters next.
Joe Strong has more knowledge of heavyweight boxing in his little finger than juggernaught666 will ever have in his life.
This is the same spastic who thinks Dominic Brassiere is a better W than Carlos Takam. :lol1: :lol1:
lol you have a point.
But I do get the impression he wasn't comfortable with his preparation.
Fury was saying he has to spend most of the time losing weight and only 4 weeks proper boxing/sparring whereas in-shape Wlad will have 12 weeks fine-tuning his boxing.
I hope Fury wins, I thought he could do it the first time (but wasn't completely sure). Wlad has had his time and the HW division is more exciting with the belts opened up however Fury isn't inspiring a lot of confidence at the moment. After the first Fury/McDermott fight did you ever think Fury would have a chance of beating Klitschko? I know I had McDermott winning 6 rounds & the ref called it 8-2 Fury. I never thought it would happen. At the same time I bet against Stiverne both times against Arreola. Anything can happen in the HW division. Eric Molina now has a good win over a fading Adamek & a decent performance against Wilder yet he got crushed in 1 round against Arreola. Things can change dramatically in the HW division. It only takes 1 punch...

All boxing fans can do is to hope that Fury fulfills his promise to retire after Klithscko KO's him.
Fury doesnt win if Wlad throw a higher to regular punch count. You can say he took away Wlads punching range but thats bc Wlad wasnt throwing anything not bc Fury was so talented at evading shots . Fury has been a pro 7 years without Wlad he has a sub par resume below Wilders and Breazeale brings his best who AJ is fighting would defeat Chisora who is Furys best win outside Wlad so to claim who is the best HW is all speculative .I think Joshua would defeat and paste Fury easier than Wlad will bc of style and age. Wilder and Fury can go either way .Wlad has beat more south paws than anyone ever has so it matters little if he prepares properly .
I would also bet that i have Fury ranked higher in his overall standing in history than 99% of the Fury fans who wouldn't have the concept of how he would beat out guys like Ali and Holmes and thats mainly bc they cant comprehend its the individual fighter you compare not the overall resume or hype when you do different era fighters . So if anyone is down playing Fury its the majority of his fans not me ,combine attributes with enough skill Fury could beat 90% of the fighters in other eras 100% in most.
2 wins over chisora & he beat Wladimir klitschko so I don't understand how you can even remotely comepare AJ's resume with Fury. AJ hasn't beaten a B level guy yet. Kingpin is his best win & everyone knows he has dropped from a B level guy to a C level opponent so he could get more fights. I get it you don't like Fury but you can't compare AJ's resume to Fury's when he hasn't beaten anyone. Martin had 21 wins against D level trialhorses & his win over Glazkov was solely due to injury. Sure Martin could of won but that fight didn't show us anything about Martin. You are simply avoiding giving Fury any credit for beating Klitschko.
Fury talks a lot of trash. I remember Frank Warren saying he could beat Wlad after his 2nd pro fight. Klitschko had to fight him or vacate the WBO title. He wasn't going to do that because he wanted to unify all the belts. Fury is only motivated by money. He doesn't care about accolades or titles. According to Fury everyone is scared of him. He signed the rematch clause because he knew he would get an immediate career payday if he won. The Glazkov fight was a complete waste of time for him anyway. He has done exactly what he said he was going to do. Now he is acting scared & unsure. He is playing mind games with the fans & media. He is playing mind games with Klitschko. For all we know he could come out & fight the entire rematch in the southpaw stance. He is the most unpredictable fighter I have ever seen.

The way Fury put it was that he signed the rematch clause because they were scared that Klitschko wouldn't fight him without it.
I don't know how much he's getting for this fight, but there are other big ones out there. British fights, certainly, sell well.

NOT A CHANCE! He was the mandatory challenger & didn't have to sign any rematch clause. He was confident he would win & get a massive payday rematch. Team Fury have said it from the start that he would have no trouble beating Wlad. From the day he had his pro debut he said he would beat Klitschko & he did it in Germany. He may not win the rematch but he got exactly what he wanted win or lose... A very FAT rematch paycheck. The only other fights he could make as much money on would be against Haye or Joshua.

He has been at this for weeks though. At the press conference in Germany he was saying Wlad is the better man to be champion and he's continuously referencing how out of shape he is and his lack of motivation.
I don't think he ever wanted the Klitschko rematch, he was contractually bound, he know he has to be at his best to win. I think he would have much preferred the Wilder fight. Just my opinion.

It's a plan to make Wlad underestimate him. Fury's gonna burn the weight off in weeks and show up to the fight in the best shape of his life.
Book it.
If he can go from out of shape, to the best shape of his life, in a few weeks - that's an indication his best shape isn't much to write about.
he played everyone again... Peter Fury was laughing it off
