Where my "Real Deal" fans at? This guy was the bridge between the old and new era of Heavyweight boxing. A functional cruiserweight who fought every single contender or champion put in front of him, no questions asked. My favorite aspect of Holy's style was he fact that he was one of the most dangerous fighters EVER when hurt. Heart like no other. In his prime he was a force of nature.
He reminds me of another one of my favorite fighters, Erik Morales, in the sense that he was a well schooled fighter, but as soon as you got in a couple of good ones on him, he's say "fuck it" and go to war on you.
Great comparison. Holyfield had the heart and stamina of a great little fighter. That's what made him so entertaining.
Even if he was on roids, his traps were ****ing insane. Like ****. Reminds me of Frank Bruno.
****ing monsters, even though I'm assuming Bruno was probably on roids as well.
Guys like Frank and Evander were physical specimens, roids or not.
I had Holyfield/Foreman saved on my parents DVR for the longest time. That might be my favorite fight of all time, and that may have been the 5th best Holyfield fight? Qawi I was a favorite of mine also.

Holyfield is definitely one of my favorite fighters. I watch his fights from time to time to see if I can see anything new. I personally believe he was P4P the best.
What about that fack yourself you internet warrior?
So we can't critisize a fighter even when he get caught by the cops for taking roids?
I was a big Holyfield fan, and I was really disappointed when this sotry happened in 2007.
Evander was a warrior, fearless, but is linked to two different PEDS affaires?
Bro, accept the critics and stay polite instead of acting like a sensitive grupie.
Lol, what?

I just want to say that if not for his garbage head butting. That just turned me off so much.
Was an aspect of his style. He kept his head low and rushed in with his punches to close the gap on his opponents. Look at the Rahman fight and tell me that was an intentional headbutt?
All time great, two division, undisputed champ/lineal champ with some of the most impressive fights and wins ever in both divisions. Yes he was dirty, yes he liked to use his head but he wasnt a boring ass, grab and hold defensive fool. The man could trade leather and take shots from guys who often outweighed him. Tremendous fighter.
Top 5 heavyweight in anyones book...if not then that book aint worth reading.

Timing is perfect given that Holyfield was roided to the gills.
My favorite heavyweight of all time.
Watching Holyfield go toe to toe with Bowe was a sight to see. He was a great athlete and a skillful well rounded fighter, but it was his heart and determination that made him really special. He had no fear.
His first fight with Tyson was also one of my favorites. He really turned things around in that fight. A lot of people thought he was totally shot and was an easy cherry pick by Tyson at the time. Holyfield chased the Tyson fight for years and finally got his moment to beat the man who he was in the shadow of for years.
I agree, one of the best boxers. Great heart, amazing skills, fearless. Curious though, I've heard a lot of people accuse him of steroid use can anyone let me know where these accusations come from?
Legendary.
