This fight is so close. Very hard to pick a winner. Today I say Kovalev lol

Ward will box circles around Kovalev. It wont be close. Wouldnt even be surprised to see Ward knock him out. Kovalev is outstanding but he couldnt knock out an elderly Hopkins. No way he comes near Ward. Eventually he will get frustrsted by Wards style and tactics and he will press forward and get put to sleep if he does. It will either be a wide UD or Kovalev will get frustrated, reach for the moon and get K.O.d. Possible, but to be fair Kovalev respected Hopkins tons and it looked like he didn't go for the KO until hoppy stuck his tongue at him. He almost got KO'd late too. Take in consideration that Kovalev has superb stamina, he can very well box Ward all 12 rounds the same way he did to Hopkins. I don't understand why people ignore this, he has power, IQ, and a hell of a engine

It's a 50/50 fight. Some days I favor Ward and others kovalev Yep. This one is super close.

seing ward in last fight he looked like a middleweight in size i admit hes great but who really thinks he can hold off and beat kovalev truly the only guy i could see challenging kova is that beterbiev guy but he needs to step up and fight more often heard he beat himpretty handily in amateurs. His fight night weight was 186 naked so how the **** is that a MW? he weighed the same than Kovalev.

I think Ward can win this if he's 100% and makes it dirty. Hard thing is I love Ward and Kovalev... So choosing is hard, but I'm rolling with Krusher I picture Ward controlling the fight early until he gets clipped, he'll either go into survival and get KO'd later or lose UD. If Ward doesn't get caught and handles Kovalev, I see it being a cautious but solid UD win

Sullivan Barrera landed 15% of his shots, on an Andre Ward who clearly wasn't anywhere near all-the-way sharp; if Ward is even 90% sharp, Barrera likely lands near nothing on Ward. Going with my eyes here. I would imagine if Barrera fights Kovalev, he would land better percentage... but less actual punches...because he will afraid to throw moreso than against Ward.

Let's just hope that this fight really happens and we will find out ) I didn't feel like Kovalev pushed hard towards KO with BHop. Also I think you're banking on Ward's better reflexes comparing to Kova. Which remains to be seen if it is true. I think you rate Kovalev's boxing ability significantly higher than I rate Kovalev's boxing ability; guess that's the thing with opinions. If Kovalev couldn't even really tee off against Bernard Hopkins, what makes you think he could tee off against Ward (a Hopkins-esque fighter, still with the physical explosiveness to walk circles around folks)? Ward is not a big puncher, but he is physically strong (at least he was against SMW foes). Which is why he wrestled and wore them down in clinches. But I'm not sure that this will work well against Kova, because he maybe stronger of the two. If Kovalev will be able to separate himself from the clinches, he will more than likely win. He is not some desperate puncher, who will miss and get frustrated. He is disciplined and a great boxer himself... Probably the best boxer Ward have seen as an opponent if you consider his whole career. Note, I separate boxer from fighter here. The fact that Kovalev maybe even better fighter with strong "killer instinct" is another story. Crusher K knocks out all light heavyweights including Beterbiev. No amount of experience will prepare him for Kovalev. Kovalev is ten times the fighter he was as an amateur.

I forgot how easily Kovalev dominated pascal in the rematch with the jab alone. Kovalev>Ward but I won't be surprised if Ward gets a split decision win

Kovalev can KO anyone if he lands clean but ward will not be easy to hit and he could outbox kovalev for 12 rounds and even hurt him. Everyone is picking kovalev simply becuase he has more power , ward is the more skilled fighter overall.
