We all know damn well that Top Rank is NOT going to load up this card. It's a big middle finger to all of the fans. It's getting harder and harder to be a boxing fan now days. Smh.
As bad as GGG-Lemieux PPV was, I see this selling barely half of that.
See with GGG/Lemieux, they at least had a draw. And sh*t, even GGG isn't THAT big of a draw yet. But still, he's leaps and bounds more of a draw than Crawford currently is. TC isn't even in the same hemisphere as a draw. And Postol -- nobody on earth outside of hardcore fight fans know who Postol is.
There's no way on earth for this PPV to be a success.
I think HBO may be on its way out of business. One mean to tell me that they can't secure a measly $1.5 million licensing fee?
Love them or hate them HBO Boxing isn't going anywhere. They're still miles and miles ahead as the premier showcase network that the sport has.
Boxing is dead
Here 'nother GGguy,
Sees GGG everywhere and becomes his fan, because everyone are,
Reads UFC's bullsh11it statements just to increase UFC sells and posts it here.
I think they will try and see what they are capable of with Crawford.
Crawford/Postol is a terrific fight on regular HBO World Championship boxing. But it's a terrible PPV fight. Only the most hardcore of hardcore boxing fans will charge $70 to their bill for this one.
HBO is blowing their budget on lil g's "BIG BUM SHOWS" they can't fund the real fights we want to see like this one. I predict there will be a mass exodus of top boxers from HBO in the next year and a half.
PPV???? This fight is barely a Friday Night Fight on ESPN let alone a PPV!! This is exactly why the sport is dying!
I guess they're trying to beat 97k in terms of doing horribly
FNF? That's harsh. It would be a great HBO after dark fight but yeah a PPV will obviously bomb. Outside of Omaha (and the huge boxing demographic that city has...) TC don't really have a fanbase, let alone Postol. I think they both averaged just under 1 million viewers in their last fights. There's literally no logic behind this being a PPV fight but I will still buy this before Can'tnelo vs Khan

It's a good fight mate.
And at 45 bucks it's priced pretty reasonably if you ask me.
I spend more than that watching the NBA playoffs at the bar with friends. You probably do the same.
Yeah they would need to stack the hell out of the card to make it PPV worthy. The fight itself is a great one in terms of skills, but not names that the public would know.
Crawford vs Postol is definitely premium cable caliber, PPV not so much. I wouldn't mind paying for it under two conditions. It has to be affordable and has to have a descent under-card. Knowing Bob it'll have a sh*t card though.
Is it going to be in Vegas? This is the type of fight that might actually be worth a night in Vegas instead of ordering the ppv. The tickets will be dirt cheap and the hotels are very cheap at that time of the year as well. Topless Pool party, gambling, dinner, Crawford vs Postol fight and then who*res.
