For me ITs the shade of skin color not your mix or heritage
Gennadys white even if his mom is Asian
Wards black even if he's 50% white.
If this was the 50s I bet Ward would be drinking from the coloured fountain and Gennady would be drinking from the white fountain
But who f.ucking cares. I can't believe people still even care about race in 2016 and that's a reason to like a fighter. there's plenty of contrasts between Ward & Golovkin ( Style , Resumes, Personalities, Upbringing , Media perception ) with race being the least interesting one.
Wtf? Op you make some weird threads..don't you know the one drop rule? If you have a black parent in America you're considered black. Gg is an odd category.
Why would anyone consider ward white.. Look at him lol. Technically he is but he looks like a black person
If you race warriors liked fighters based upon their style of fighting instead of their skin color this wouldn't be a discussion on a boxing forum. Boxing is a bad sport to fight your imaginary race war because they all will win some and lose some.
Yet, all you like are Black fighters.

Holy crap. Ward and his dad have the same face. But in all honesty people judge based on appearances. Ward looks black so he will be perceived as such, while GGG looks white so will be perceived as a white man. And for the closeted white supremacists a white looking guy is closer to white than a black looking guy.
