Looked fat, slow, uncoordinated and just out of his prime.
He gets hit flush in every damn fight and Wade was no exception, just terrible.
Imagine canelo landing his shots on GGG flush like wade, say goodnight.
Exposed by Bute in amateurs (got a standing 8 count *facepalm*), bashed up and looked terrible against Ouma, hit early by Martin Murray (lol), outboxed and hit flush by Monroe and now looking like dog poop against Wade.
I think this guy needs to save himself and just step down, retire on a low note and just fade into obscurity. Hes earned some money, he ought to buy some land, buy a few cows and start milking asap. :bottle:
GGG aka the bum killer aka bum patrol aka bumsecticide
LMAO
I don't think his performance was bad at all. Guys that say he beats someone like Ward are fools but I don't see anything that Genady really did wrong tonight. Fighters who stand and bang are going to get hit clean, even all time greats. There's a lot to criticize ggg over but this crisp performance against a softball opponent isn't one of them.
Good post
No he doesn't, he just doesn't have the reflexes to get out of the way. Aganst Lemieux he caught all the punches because they were telegraphed and he was the taller, longer fighter against others he gets lit up and just overpowers them. Not saying he's not incredibly effective, but Roberto Duran he is not. Eubank would've flattened him.
He starts with a sharp defence, feels his opponents power, then loosens his guard to create the counterpunching openings. It's quite a common pattern now, watch some of his recent fight again and you'll start to notice it.
GGG basically lets his opponents hit him to lure them into a false sense of security, thinking they're being effective. But all the while he's searching for the right position to land the power punch countershots. He's a clever fighter. He even nods at his opponents to acknowledge being hit and it makes them feel as if they're being effective or gained his respect but it's a strange reverse psychology he uses against them to get them to throw more shots so he has more windows of opportunity to counter. You can see this very clearly in the Wade fight, GGG was letting himself get hit, nodding at Wade when he got tagged so that Wade gets encouraged to throw more shots and creates the right opening for GGG to counter. Clever but could be risky against the wrong guy. Eubank vs GGG would have been a great fight.

He did what he was suppose to do vs a Weak Opponent
At 34 he really need to get things moving with his career though because he doesn't have Long so wasting time on guys like Wade won't help his Legacy in anyway! He still doesn't have that name on his Resume Yet and he is already 34. If he doesn't get that shot at Canelo I'm not sure how he will get that big name on his resume.
Just stop...Chris Eubank put the kinda guys GGG is fighting out with one punch in the first minute of the first round. GGG has short arms and has to get close unless he's fighting a smaller guy like Lemieux.

He takes a lot of risks to get in range and establish the correct position to land his shots most effectively. That's what makes him an exciting fighter - he risks getting hit in order to find the correct extension and the perfect opening to make his power punches most effective. His style is partly effective because he gets hit. His opponents see openings, they throw shots, some land which encourages them to throw more, while GGG waits to find the correct position to set up a perfect countershot. It's risky but clever at the same time.

You are ****ting me right?
What fight did you see?
Sugar Ray truth be told you either need glasses or rehab!
For your sake I hope you need glasses!
he literally lost his prime fighting against Wade haha
poor guy, I think he ought to try a different sport. Maybe bowling or that sweeping ice sh*t they do at the olympics, something not too strenous for lil g
I never said he struggled at all. He steamrolled the guy...but his body looked soft, and his punches and the way he moved just didn't look sharp to me. It can all be chalked up to different reasons, but he showed signs of an aging fighter imo. There's people with credibility left around here? I thought it was just a circus of fanboys and trolls trying to piss echother off.
Yea, he looked soft/bloated for some odd reason. I'd usually suspect PEDs because that's some hormonal imbalance shyt (when your face suddenly gets puffy like that) but I honestly don't think he'd do that for this fight. Still strange though.
lets be honest he knows hes fighting bums just as much as we know he is u think he gets excited?
I hope this is the case, or as i said in another thread, maybe he did less sparring in camp and needed a couple rounds to get going. He just looked different to me, and if he wasn't almost 35, I'd more readily dismiss it as being unmotivated etc.
