Interesting.
Despite still being a minor Park was given no leniency.
"Although there was no evidence the IV drip contained a prohibited substance, intravenous infusions of more than 50ml are banned for athletes at all times, unless there is a legitimate medical reason."
The arbitrator stated that in accepting the IV drip, Mr Park had “shown a dereliction and abdication of personal responsibility for his actions” and that although he was a minor, he was “a professional athlete who has competed at the highest levels for a number of years, and with success. He should not have remained ignorant of his anti-doping obligations.”

ok he's banned for 2 years but is it too late to ask for an exemption now?
Don't know the full rules when it comes to cycling, my guess is kid was legit just didn't provide necessary proof in a timely manner. Maybe he can appeal.
Whatever governing body oversees his sport determined he did not have a"legitimate medical reason", either that or he didn't follow proper protocols to demonstrate medical need to receive an exception, Mayweather did. Not hard to understand.
You mean Mayweather got let off. This 17 year old kid didn't.
Gotcha.

Never really took a militant stance on this issue
But if other athletes are having titles stripped for using IV's, then it should really apply to every athlete.. I didn't realise it was as serious as this
Agreed!! Floyd was already cleared of any wrong doing. Beating the skeletal remains of a dead horse.
LMAO!!!
Mods need to roll this into the many variants on this topic!!!
What a joke!!!

Bold is the key difference, a fact many choose to ignore. Park did not have one, Mayweather did.
Mayweather? IV? Víctor conte: IVs are to hide drug use.
A dead and redundant thread!
Hahahahahaha!!!
Hahahahaha!!!!! Oh the humanity...., in slow motion the pain remains....
Hahahahaha!!!
Floyd of course.
because i believe OP is illustrating how other athletes wouldn't get away with what Floyd got away with.
Oh, I see!! But several other threads cover this topic in detail.
This should have just been added in that master thread, along with Lance Armstrong... !!!!
Let it go... Let it go...
Hahahahahaha
