He blamed Diaz for his troubles and in all actuality he just is not elite at all. Dude is a world class fighter but not elite, he will always lose at the elite level. I can not stand boxers who blame trainers when they lose or look bad, it is a sign of weakness.I am glad he got a huge slice of humble pie.
Bradley is not on Cotto's level, so comparing the two is exaggerating Bradley's resume, in my opinion. Cotto is A+, but he just hasn't had a perfect career; the thing is, though, there are actual reasons for that.
1. Margarito doesn't count. Plaster. And Cotto was training himself.
2. Severely weight-drained vs Pacquiao and had an amateur replacement trainer.
3. Mayweather was a good fight, but Cotto did not fire Diaz immediately after Mayweather. That's absolutely false. He fired him after Trout, which, if you believe Roach, Cotto and Diaz had huge issues throughout that camp. And the Mayweather fight could've gone either way, in my opinion. At the very least, it wasn't a Mayweather blow-out like the judges had it.
4. Many people believe Cotto won the Canelo fight, so no way could that be considered as one "level" dominating another. Here's the same issue as the Mayweather fight.
Even if you disagree with me on several of these points, I cannot see how you'd put Bradley on the same level as Cotto. Cotto's resume simply far exceeds Bradley's.
And the trump card here is what Cotto achieved once he actually built a good relationship with a trainer. He became the lineal middleweight champion of the world, beating what used to be the equivalent of GGG's "most feared" hype a few years ago in Sergio Martinez. No one wants to give him credit for that fight, but Sergio wasn't done. I'm not saying he was in prime condition, either, but he could've still dominated the division for a while. He was doing so, actually, even before he began focusing more on caring for his knee. That remains a tremendous feat for a fighter who didn't even belong in that division.
At the end of it all, when everyone thought Cotto was done, he has shown that, on any given night, he can beat the best in the sport. You cannot say the same of Bradley. That's what separates Bradley from the true elite.
I'll even give you a basketball analogy; Mayweather and Pacquiao are like the Golden State Warriors and Lebron James (Cavaliers). All of us expect consistent domination and greatness from them by this point. (I know the Cavaliers are new, but bear with me because they're supposed to be the continuation of the Miami Heat). Cotto is akin to the San Antonio Spurs. He may not always win, but no one can deny he's right up there with the elite. In any given season, Cotto can come out on top, as he did versus Martinez, and, in my opinion, versus Canelo. It's that simple really. Taking a loss doesn't mean you're not elite.
That's just not Bradley. The only call to the elite Bradley has had is the Marquez fight, and he's never looked the same since. In fact, he should probably retire, because I fear he's taken too many blows. If you don't believe me, just watch what happens from here on out in his career.
Let's just hope, for Bradley's sake, he doesn't stay with Atlas.
lol...troll post
At first I thought u just was hating Ol, Timmy
But I agree with you, feel same way. The way he talked about Diaz as a trainer and blamed him for the loss....Then he gets beaten even worst with Atlas.
And thats what Diaz said, what happens in those late tough rounds?
believe in compubox? Lol larry... It thought you knew better
do you even know what compubox is?
i actually watched the fight..nothing about it was domination
Bradley dominated Jmm???

Sucks cause he was with Diaz most of his life, then his wife comes in to the picture and removes all his loyalty to his trainer. That least this loss will show it was Diaz's fault. Just Pacquiao was and always is a better fighter head to head.
Hey he beat Marquez and Rios better than Pacquiao did. Def down the road him and Diaz will make amends.
Its just like how Cotto blamed his trainer vs Mayweather loss, and then went to Roach. No matter what Cotto always loses the biggest fights: Margarito, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Canelo... Doesnt matter the trainer , its the figther
Diaz sucks bro. Pac is the only guy that can beat him.....you act like there are all these "elite" boxers out there but no one at WW can beat Pac. Floyd was the only guy who could and he fought scared as a mofo the entire fight in his hometown to win. JMM was the other guy and is also a HOF boxer, a guy that Bradley outboxed so not sure where exactly you rank JMM.
Bring on Thurman, Porter, Garcia, Brook.....Timmeh B takes em all to school.
Yea i would love if Bradley actually started fighting the other top ww's instead of jr ww's and Manny over and over again
If you want to give the fight to Bradley over Marquez, fine, but don't say a split decision was "easy work", or "some one got clowned". Nobody gets clowned in a split decision.
Marquez outlanded Bradley in 9 of 12 in power punches, with a total of 115 to 86 in JMM's favor. Bradley outlanded Marquez in jabs in 9 of 12 rounds. Two judges felt Bradley's jabs were enough.
Glenn Feldman had the fight 115-113 for Marquez which is probably accurate, Robert Hoyle had it 115-113 for Bradley which may also be accurate depending on what you like. Personally I scored it a draw but have no issue with 115-113 either way. I do have an issue with anyone trying to say Bradley beat Marquez easily or clearly, which is completely false in every sense of the word. The fight should have been a Draw.
You say it like you had a sliver of doubt that Bradley would lose. As if you didn't know that with complete certainty.
If you read my previous posts before the fight, i said "I HOPE MANNY PUTS A BEATING ON BRADLEY"

Ive noticed displeasure for Bradley from you in other comments, is it really just about the trainer switch or is there some other reasons? Im asking just out of curiosity...
I hate the way he blamed everything on Diaz honestly..i hate when boxers do that

ruslan is not much different from rios in my opinion. look what tim did to rios. a masterful boxing lesson and then finishes rios off. ruslan might have more gas in the tank at the point compare to rios but their style is not different by far at all so i feel if tim apply the same game plan he used for rios, its gonna be a long night for ruslan, or maybe short, tim might even stop him?
I guess you forgot Ruslan punished and damn near bear Bradley retarded..Rios is shot to sh1t and had looked like garbage since he left 135
