I wasn't keeping up with social media and reactions during the fight, so I was surprised at what I read following it.
I'm a fan of TC, and was pulling for him in this fight. Personally I thought it was a pretty exciting event overall. Getting a little drama courtesy of no-hoper Karpency in the 1st round set the stage. Then Benevidez/Santana engaged in an intriguing fight in which it became a question if underdog Santana could win on mostly heart alone (and nearly did IMO). Following that, got to see a true beast in Valdez do his thing in short order.
The main event had a lot of tension in the first few rounds. But what makes Crawford so great (and has in his past fights) is his ability to scout and adjust. Knockdowns in the 5th, then some good sticking and moving for the rest. This progression of events, combined with well timed beers in between, made it an enjoyable night.
I guess if you were expecting a slugfest (or were pulling for Postol) I could see the fight as a disappointment. But I personally was glad I bought the PPV after going back and forth that night on whether I should.
Crawford had to pimp smack him, then he banned him from the event for good measure.
Kim said it started because of some shít he said about Gamboa, so he was probably shítting on the win..
Then apparently Bud got in his face, and Steve went all beta and shít, tucked his tail, and dipped the fùck out.
:haha: love it kim is such a dork
Crawford is a problem, funny how perception can change over time with fighters excitement.
It was a decent fight, not as bad as some people make out but I weren't expecting it to be a classic with Postol's style and Crawford being unpredictable.
I won't be surprised if Roach advises Pacquiao not to fight Crawford, he knew how dangerous Crawford was before the Postol fight.
I don't think he was boring at all. The only boredom came from the fact that Postol had no answer for what was in front of him last night and therefore wasn't very competitive.
Crawford is not going to become a face-first barroom brawler just to please certain fans.
He has the versatility to always fight in whatever way is worst for his opponent and I would expect him to keep piling up victories in that manner until someone can stop him from doing it.
You enjoyed the fight? I thought it was a stinker. I don't expect him to be a face-first brawler, just not spend quite so much time moving around the ring doing nothing offensively. It is possible to have a boxer style and still be consistently aggressive, even if it is just the jab. He certainly is versatile which is why he didn't need to move so much for the 12 rounds, he could have put a bad beating on Postol and probably stopped him if he'd been more aggressive but instead he mostly preferred to coast to a decision.
You are overestimating the current version of Pac imo.
Lets be real aswell, Bradley has looked like sh*te for years now. Only looked good vs the human punchbag Brandon Rios.
Pac will lose to the next elite fighter he faces, Crawford is elite
Let's not forget Bradley looked very good against Marquez, a craftsman.
That's the best I've seen Crawford look. He looked great.
He's still got to fix and sharpen up some flaws though, his Defense is good but it needs improvement.
Also, I don't understand why every time a fighter gets a good win on this board people say "well he wasn't very good anyway"
Crawford proved to be a level above Postol, every time Postol threw punches Crawford countered him brilliantly. Crawford was impressive albeit in a very defensive and boring fashion. He got the job done but I hope he doesn't expect too many people to want to pay to watch him in the future fighting like that.

Why you keep telling that the fight was boring? My favorite type of performances is when one of the boxers completely dominates and schooling the other one, that shows that boxer is truly elite
Dey don't know ***** about boxing.
Jesus Christ almost the entirety of this board knows next to nothing about boxing. If Manny is 70% of what he he use to be he will beat the **** out of Crawford, Bradley would beat him. I really dont understand how you guys cant see how average he is.
Manny after a fight against Terence Crawford:
"If he would've stayed in one place, then I could have thrown punches."
I got that wrong. I had Postol by UD. strong performance by Crawford and the card was really good as well.
Only bad thing was this was a ppv and not on regular TV.
Let's hope Arum puts Crawford in with Manny next. Don't know if Crawford can win but he earned a bigger name with this dominant performance.
I see his skill level and he is a very good fighter, there is one fighter walking the planet that can beat Manny at the level he was in what March against Bradley. His name is Mayweather not Crawford. You tell me I dont know Shiet about boxing, shiet son ive forgot more about boxing than you will ever know. There are three or four guys at WW that would **** Bud up, lol and I dont know shiet about boxing, child please.

If Broner would get **** together, Crawford/Broner would be a match-up I'd like to see. I've believed since I first saw Crawford (against Prescott) that he would beat Broner, and the outcome seems more obvious with every passing fight.
