Hurting someone like Ola Afolobi isn't the same as hurting Kovalev. Is Ola bigger and stronger than Kovalev? But to play devil's advocate, what if I told you that Kovalev was also hurting cruiserweight's and even some heavyweights? Heck, I can show you a video right now where James Kirkland almost killed a heavyweight in sparring. Kovalev likely walks into camp for his fight at about heavyweight anyway, so Kovalev hurting guys in the 200s (relative skill takes over when the size is close) isn't mind blowing. Golovkin, a guy who's supposed to be "a small middleweight", hurting even Ola Afolabi, a guy who is likely 210-220lbs in camp, would be something actually unbelievable. You're talking about a world-level professional fighter who outweighs him by 50lbs! For argument's sake, imagine if Floyd Mayweather Jr was in training camp, boxing up Chavez Jr, Edwin Rodriguez, and Chad Dawson on a regular basis (Afolabi isn't just some bum; his last 10 fights had been at/near world level). People would be in even more awe of the man's ability. James Kirkland tortured his body to get ready and fit to fight; I have no doubt that Kirkland walks into camp 180lbs; smashing on a heavyweight (the level of guy Kirkland can get into camp) isn't all that unbelievable.

GGG has one of the best chins in boxing. As far as I know he has never been knocked down or badly hurt in over 400 amateur and pro bouts. So the haters that claim this guy or that guy would knock him out are probably wrong.

My guess is that you're probably overselling the chin a bit.

Gennady is Canelos executioner. Golovkin is a 34-year old MW, who hasn't laid out anyone in nearly three years (even if he beats Dominic Wade, it'll likely be by ref/corner stoppage, with Wade on his feet), and came to the professional ranks after an extensive amateur career. Saul Alvarez had all of ~50 amateur fights (all at just the Junior level and in Mexico), has been put in with solid competition for about 5 years now, has spent the last three years facing off against tougher competition than Golovkin's ever faced in his pro career, is just heading into those prime physical years in boxing (basically 24-29 years of age), and is defiantly the bigger man (with Canelo just about done growing, he'll likely be walking into the ring near the low 170s until he starts to lose his fighting fitness). If Golovkin and his camp truly believed like you believe, they wouldn't be ****ting themselves over giving up a few pounds.

I've watched videos of light-heavyweights saying that GGGs punching power was impressive... More than Heavyweights.

Yo I have never called him lil G Abel Sanchez in the past has revealed stories of Golovkin’s sparring sessions with well-known top class fighters. One of the most famous incidents dealt with Sergey Kovalev. Sanchez described the encounter to Hustleboss.com as a mismatch. He stated, “He was one of the sparring partners that we had. You can't make that claim, how many big hitters has Golovkin been hit clean by? I'd bet Kovalev would drop him in a real fight. Stevens, Lemieux, Kovalev in sparring he's also faced guys with good pop in Rubio, Adama, Macklin,etc none of them have been able to put a dent on GGG's titanium chin never stunned, never hurt, he has the best whiskers in the sport right now specially after some of his former competition for #1, such as Rios and Chavez jr's chins have already been cracker
