Isn't he a Mayweather fighter? Shouldn't Mayweather promotion had done more in that aspect? He hasnt been with Mayweather for years

My point is, Top Rank builds young guys into stars ....gets them big fights... That guy acting like they don't do anything for them...who's built more star names then Top Rank in the last 20+ years? Top Rank is a dying breed. They don't even have multiple fighters in each division to fight each other. That's why Arum's always reaching out to Oscar now.

Vargas' career has been a roller coaster. He went from fighting on Mayweathers undercards to ESPN FNF's when he got to Top Rank. He's had a good year and a half to 2 years but let's not over due it. He was one of only a couple of Top Rank WW contenders, also undefeated, and he still couldn't land Pacquiao. Algeri got a shot before him? So it's not like being at Top Rank has been all roses. The deck was stacked against Vargas on Saturday Golden Boy card, Bernard as the announcer , biased HBo commentary , Questionaboe refereeing , East coast , no dressing room. Glad that he left no doubt on Saturday, that right hand that KD Ali in the 8th was sick, Props to Jessie he earned his Bradley rematch.

Oh gosh ya, is that how he got the Bradley fight? Didn't realise he is with Top rank now, didn't they look out for him or his manager do something about that? I don't know the particulars, but I'd be upset with my promoter if he couldn't even negotiate having a dressing room. Even if Golden Boy was the lead promoter (it was a split promotion event), Jessie should have gotten a dressing room.

ali is w/ oscar, not arum. but i know on this site facts are irrelevant . . . You're right, that's a typo. Oscar's golden goose got the royal treatment, while Arum didn't even bother to fight for a dressing room for his fighter. Sad all the way around. It shouldn't matter if Golden Boy was the lead promoter (I don't know who was), stuff like that shouldn't happen.

That sucks. He had to rest on some hard ass table and chairs in the hallway of the arena while Arum's golden goose Sadam Ali got the royal treatment. Didn't go as planned though. :lol1: this fight and his mentality, wanting to rematch bradley rather than milk on some defenses really made me a fan rooting for him against bradley if that fight gets made :)!
