Will we see rivalries like pac/jmm morales / barrera in the near future?

Best Heavyweight On the Planet Is In the NFL Never say never but I doubt it. The rivalries you mentioned produced such great fights at such a high skill level that we'll be really lucky to see anything like that again. Another great rivalry was Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazqez, which produced some epic wars. Maybe the next great rivalry will involve Russian or Eastern European fighters. We could get lucky :)

We could have a few rivalries but not many at elite level. I could see someone cashing in a Rios/ Provodnikov trilogy. Also could see Provodnikov- Matthysse 2 or Matthysse -Rios. All would be good. You could also have Andrade, charlo brothers, Julian Williams, and Lara fighting over and over. Skilled guys, but no one really Knows them. Yeah, unfortunately today all the close fights between well known fighters are boring or just don't live up to expectations. Even Mattysee vs Ruslan lacked something in terms of excitement but that could be because I went into the fight with such high expectations LSC vs Mares was another fight that just wasn't as good in the ring as it looked on paper, atleast for me.

Yes, Inoue vs Gonzales could be a classic rivarly starting from 2017. Hopefully Inoue can get some fights on HBO this year to build it up for when Gonzales moves up.

watching their fights hit back by nostalgia Damn the intensity and savageness of their fights is amazing its like watching a well rehearsed action movie. Barrera and morales and their animosity towards each other pac and jmm fighting fire with fire. What current boxers today could replicate/compare or even surpass this fights/rivalries My guess is golovkin or canelo if they ever fought but i could be wrong tho. I doubt no matter what the outcome of GGG vs Canelo is, there wont be a rematch much less a trilogy. Also I seriously doubt we see any trilogies above 130lbs, to much money above 130 to be made fighting other people besides the same guy unless you consider pac vs bradley on the same level as the fights you mentioned. But in order for a great trilogy to happen 1 thing definitely needs to happen, Mexico needs to produce a star under 130 and then there needs to be a Mexicutioner in or around that stars weight class. Thatll produce at least a rematch regardless the outcome. Or Mexico needs to produce 2 stars under 130 in or around the same weight class and market it as there can only be 1.

i think we will see a khan-canelo trilogy with canelo winning all 3 fights by ko. anything to postpone that ggg fight!

Nah, everyone is to scared of taking an L or giving close fights rematches. Salido and martinez was on its way to that but siri got robbed and rocky dont want it again
