GG needs to learn English. He sounds like he's mentally challenged whenever he's interviewed after a fight. That's why I never watch his fights. Sorry, but if I can't understand you, then I won't be watching you.
Does this carry to other sports? If the Yankees (or any other team) have a pitcher who can't speak english (and uses an interpreter) do you chose not to watch that team? Or follow that sport?
"bas ah ball has a been feddie feddie goode to me"

What the hell type of boxing fan is that? Just pathetic.

You serious? I would understand this if during the fight Golovkin had to give blow by blow as he fought or had to communicate in some way. It's a ****ing fight, who gives a **** if he speaks English or not.
Golovkin knows basic English he can make a point across. Golovkin is actually intellectual, further than Pac. When asked in 2013-2014 GGG should only respect for Ward and called him a great champion, and literally said Ward was too much for him. I don't care what language is being said. If a man knows basic English he can make his points across.
Its just thay these fanatic fans have clue that Loeffler and Sanchez did this GGG for saying ridiculous things like 154-168 was easy along with GGG saying it.
Look how transparent, non making things complicated are when asking Thruman or Porter questions. Look at many boxers. If they're honest they'll give u political reasons or real reasons a fight isn't happening even with broken English. Look at Pac, so twistrd in Arum scripts he made his legacy saying idiotic things.
GG never wanted a piece of Ward.
Its not so much about making basic statements as getting a handle on the personality of Golovkin. For example, if we take Deontay Wilder what he actually says is what most fighters would say when given interview questions. yet... we know that Wilder is a man who comes from the South, is gregarious, has a big heart, etc. We have a real sense of his personality which makes him more approachable and human. What the author did in this piece was convey things like irony, sarcasm, arrogance, etc.
Regarding Ward, without getting into reasons which can be debated from both sides, it seems like Golovkin's initial instinct to steer clear of that debate was a good one.

Sounds like you should watch political debates s,rather than boxing matches.
Russian is indeed a very difficult language to learn, much more so than even Japanese which is saying a lot because any language with honorifics can cause major fvk ups! The author of this translation is a bright guy...hes trying to capture the idiomatic feel of GG's words and Russian is a cynical, colorful language that English cannot hope to convey in a literal translation.
To understand GG's attitude, which I would not characterize as socio or psychopathic...look at pictures of where he grew up...Most members here are near beautiful cities, San Francisco, Philadelphia, London, Syndney, etc. heck from GG's perspective East Baltimore would be a beautiful place! These Soviet cities are ugly, with nothng but **** weather and concrete housing, bleak bleak bleak...people naturally are cynical and tough minded. This is the culture of Doskeovsky Existentialism and Stalin cruelty, low birth rates, alcohol and drug rates through the roof. GG is a product of his environment as we all are.
The Ward proposal is best dealt with the way GG dealt with it, its just not something worth discussing. Ward had to decide if he was going to light heavy, and there would have been a small window of opportunity to have this fight...Ward may well have put out an unworkable proposal, but who cares? In the end it really means Ward will cross paths with the other Russian powerhouse, Kovalev. Maybe GG in his infinite wisdom understands this point better than the people who want to say he, or Ward is ducking, thats my take. GG does not have the names on his resume to demand anything from Ward...and GG is not necessarily worth staying at middleweight for without these names.
People don't like to hear that...but try beating Dawson and then hearing how this victory was all about how Dawson was not really that good, a mere weight drained zombie of himself because ward forced him to fight at a catchweight...so what if Ward stayed down for a sub decent payday and outpointed Golovkin? I guarantee people would be talking about how Ward should have been tuning up and getting ready for a division where the real fighters are waiting (light heavy). How do I know this? because people are blaming Ward for trying to make a fight happen when there was a small window of opportunity where golovkin would have had to alter his plans.
"If you don't want to fight Golovkin, you're a coward!"
"If Golovkin doesn't want to fight you... well, you're still a coward!"
Tweedledum, meet Tweedledee.
I've been criticizing golovkin quite a bit lately. If you actually read my posts you'd know I never slurped him off like how you do to other fighters.
Jesus Christ you sound like such a moron.
When Golovkin asked Ward for a fight, and then Chavez and Froch, he wasn't mandatory to the WBC belt now was he? Gee, it's almost as if his circumstances have changed over the past year.
He doesn't sound like one, he is one.
In what world does a man say, i dont want to talk about him anymore means that hes scared of him or avoiding him? People really want to read what they want.
Like do you have any perception of how the world works? Do you think everything is like the WWE?
The NSB world. Golovkin is apathetic towards Ward like Kovalev is to Stevenson. Too much drama, posturing and talk for these old school, ex Soviet cats.

lol. I gave you the context. He said he didn't want to talk about Ward..
Here's THE context...GGG's previous interview in Russian last summer...
"Hey, Ward, wake up! Why are you talking trash about other people? Speak for yourself. If you're trying to make a name for yourself by mentioning me to build up your own fight, then be a man about it and tell the truth. At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers - I said yes, you said no. You said something about your shoulder or promoter - I'm not interested in the reason, I only heard your "no." But you remember that HBO said then that they would need a long time to build-up the fight. Then what the **** are you talking about excuses?"
"If you do provocative attacks, do not even think that Loeffler will buy into them. You haven't been interesting to anyone for a long time, so he will no longer engage in the promotion of your name. Go and build your own image. Although everyone already knows what you are, and because of this, they do not go to your fights."
"You shouldn't worry about who I'm going to box or have boxed. You, like the rest, were lucky with the "Super Six" tournament because you got your opponents by contract. And who are you fighting now? The fourth-fifth ranked fighters in England...If I say that I'm ready to box any middleweight and ready to rise to 168 for a big fight, then I am responsible for the words. And I have nothing left to discuss with you. As a man, you are dead to me."
With the exception of this interview which was in response to Ward insulting GGG in a previous interview, GGG's never said anything disrespectful about anyone including Ward. That's because he has manners and class. If you can't say anything nice.... Now, if Ward's got a problem with the way GGG's team mentions him when they're asked questions by the media and feels GGG is somehow responsible for everything they say, Ward should confront Golovkin himself not Tom Loeffler. That'd be PPV worthy right there.
I've never understood why some people feel the need to turn their favorite boxers into dark comic book heroes. After taunting boxers, then running with his tail tucked because he never really wanted to fight them, I know all I need to know about his mentality.
Look at this idiot.
"MUH DARK COMICZ N SHEEEIT!"
Very interesting stuff.
Reading the text, I was trying to picture those answers coming from the mouth of the smiley face GGG who know here in the west ... and I couldn't do it.
Who the hell did he run away from?
i think he's still pretending that ggg ducked ward even though it was ggg who tried to fight ward and ward said no. he's probably even pretending that ward wanting to fight ggg in a year and a half with a 50-50 split was a legit offer. he's lost touch with reality. i'm not sure how offering someone way more popular than you a 50-50 split for a fight in a year and a half from now when he has a bunch of other big fights in the interim is a legit offer. these ward fans find a way through all the logic and come up with something illogical.

You're just making **** up now.
Interview made me respect him even more. I never thought he was trying to put on a good guy act. People just misunderstand him.
Hes the type that beats the **** out of you with a smile on his face.

:lol1: I LOVE this interview. He said let's talk boxing, there's 3 punches: straight, hook, uppercut. :lol1:
I like that attitude. They don't do enough interviews about boxing related ****. I like those interviews with Floyd, Hopkins and other fighters where they just sit down and talk boxing.
