Always wanted to see this fight and the Khan vs Canelo undercard seems like an ideal date for it to finally happen.
Haye, the Brit back in the game after a long time out due to injury. He might want to punish Arreola for comments he made some years ago. "If I we were in prison, I'd make Haye my girlfriend. He'd be my prison b*tch (raucous laughter)".
Arreola, the Mexican American, quickly becoming a forgotten name, knows he would have to be on his A-game against Haye. Maybe it would inspire him to train seriously and be at his absolute best one more time.
Potentially a very entertaining fight with the power these guys bring, maybe a little past it's due date but still it would add some extra spice to the card and to the promotion itself considering the trash talk they're both capable of.
Who wins...?
Haye would be takin the easy route with Chris if Chris wasn't suspended.
His 90-day suspension is retroactive, going back to his last fight, which means he could fight again from mid-March.
What you're talking here is fairytales and delusions.
Haye isn't fighting on Khan's undercard. Just get the idea out your head it's not going to happen.
Lol.. There are various factors which make it a good idea for Haye to participate in this event as previously detailed. It's undeniable at this point.
Obviously the probability of him actually participating is low, but the exploration of the idea is more on a hypothetical basis.
He might take a pay cut, but I think the acclimatization experience is really very important for Haye to get right because he potentially has two massive title fights on US soil lined up in the future. Putting short term financial gain aside - it would be in his best interest to take what might be considered a tune up bout in the USA just so he can understand the procedure of acclimatization fully before those potential match ups down the line against Wilder and Martin.
And this fight would be on the undercard or co-main of a massive fight already so he'll instantly be back on the world stage, probably with much more global exposure than fighting a low level opponent at the o2.
Plus it should be a hell of an entertaining fight for the fans and if Haye can dispatch of Arreola in spectacular fashion - let's say quicker than Stiverne did in the rematch, he may well land himself the Wilder fight straight away. Or the Martin fight. So that's 3 and a half years out of the ring, 2 fights done, world title fight next. Not a bad route to the title which is Haye's ultimate ambition.

Ordinarily not. But in this case it would be beneficial due to the global exposure that the big event is looking to achieve, and the chance for Haye to take a tune up in the USA to practise acclimatizing to the environment for potential title fights with Wilder and Martin in the future.
Plus it means that the promotion would largely be taken care of already, because it's not a Hayemaker Promotions show, which means less work on the promotional front for this one fight.
It would be more beneficial to Khan and canelo than for Haye.
Haye isn't fighting on anyone's undercard :lol1:

That's true. But if the opponent is the same level as the last one, and he stops Arreola early, there's no reason Haye couldn't still make the date 2 weeks later, barring an injury or cut. It's unconventional and risky but not impossible.
Chisora just fought 3 low level opponents in about a one month span for example. Dec 5th, Dec 12th, Jan 9th, and he stopped them all.
Alternatively, he could just reschedule the O2 event to a later date, I don't think he'll even lose the booking fee because there's still plenty of time to do it.
I'd certainly like to see him more active, but his body won't allow it at this stage.
McGuigan is already having to alter the training and recovery methods to prevent injury. His joints are apparently struggling to support his weight and punching style.
Haye has already booked the o2 arena again for May.
He sold out a 20,000 arena against De Mori and is going to sell it out again a few months later, without even naming the opponent...He's not fighting on any undercard.
David Haye is probably still the biggest draw in British boxing. As for Arreola, Haye batters him.

It's a sad state of affairs that this conman is still so popular over here. Fkin casuals...
Why not?
Because he's not going to take a pay cut to fight on Amir Khan'a undercard when he can sell out the O2 fight if anyone.
Really is that simple.

Why not? Khan vs Canelo is a massive fight which would benefit Haye in terms of worldwide exposure against a name opponent. Arreola was being touted as a Wilder opponent only a few months ago, Haye would take his place if he beats him + he has only fought once in the USA back in 2003. He said it's something he'd like to do again at some point so now could be the perfect opportunity on a massive card. Could always make it a co-main if necessary.
Also, it would be a good chance for Haye to prepare for a US fight against Wilder or Martin, a learning experience of how to get the camp right for fighting in the USA, if you know what I mean. He can gauge if he got the time right to acclimatize to the environment or if he should travel sooner - that sort of thing.
