Just in 2016 we got Fury jumping in the ring against Wilder like a clown...now we got Stevenson in the ring against Kovalev like a fvcking clown..and to make things worse neither one of these damn fights are going to happen period...wtf happened to boxing?
It's fun and entertaining, better than, "let me talk to my promoter first..."
And who says Fury and Wilder can't fight? Not the same as Kov and Adonis.
I like sh1t like that but only when it's done right and by a real right dude. Not some bozo like Adonis trying to make a show. He gets zero points for that.

I don't really like it most times.
I also don't like the big-budget, froofy ring entrances.
And I don't like the reality-tv, soap-opera shows that they make in the weeks leading up to the fight.
I especially hate the way they beat every new fighter's personal sob story to death before, after and (amazingly) during the fight itself in an effort to get me emotionally invested in the guy.
But **** changes. :dunno:
And some of the fights are still good.
I was thinking the same thing but I don't think the Stevenson one was planned since HBO was quick to call Stevenson out on his bluff and remind the viewers that the real fight is with Ward
Fury vs Wilder was great and created and Buzz and got a lot of views on youtube. Stevenson made himself look silly last night, did not understand what he was saying at all
It's rather entertaining and good for a general buzz. Antics, trash talk, KO's, etc... Are all part of the entertainment factor of the sport. It doesn't have to happen every fight, but it does help generate more interest when it does.
Also, factor in the fact that KO-valev and Stevenson genuinely dislike each other, Wilder and Fury both have big mouths, then you have a recipe for genuine interest amongst the boxing fans after a brief war of words.
