No way, Pascal didn't even know where he was. He was probably seeing three Kovalevs in there. When you're a fighter, you always want "one more round."

I wonder if Pascal was begging to keep fighting because of the 50K bet, that Kovalev would not be able to stop him before the eight round. When Roach wanted to stop it the first time, Pascal almost went nuts. Just one more round. Just one more round! :lol1:

Last thing on his mind would be 50K. The guy is a cash cow and is the reason why the holder of 3 belts came to his hometown despite knocking him out the first time around. Pascal is simply a lion heart, why else would you rematch Kovalev? In fact why else would you fight Kovalev the first time around when you have a belt holder in Canada where you can push to make a big domestic fight happen?

He didn't protest at the end of the 7th though. He told Roach just one more round. It was relatively a bit better round for him but nowhere near enough to convince Roach that it should go on.

I can't imagine him thinking about 50k when his purse was over a million and his health was in danger. I'm not convinced he even knew what round it was. Pascal had a lot of pride, probably too much for his own good.
