i can understand the harvard thing, but being a millionaire makes someone smarter than other people? floyd is a millionaire too and he can't read shit, dude is dumb as fuck
Stupid people, and I mean those with little to no intelligence, idolize the silliest things. He rich doe! He gotta be da smartest doe! Someone earlier highlighted the fact that Floyd is rich and can't read a sentence without tripping. I don't expect much from Inkanyamba however. He's a dope.
Lou Di Bella is a Harvard graduate. Richard Branson is a high school drop-out.
Didn't know Di Bella was from Harvard. What does Richard Branson have anything to do with this?
Just like 99.9% of us on here are not smarter than Arum. They're Harvard grads.

Oh come on. If I was given the answers, I could at least make the waiting list.
:lol1: That is really how hard it is to get into a Ivy League School
Maybe but, I bet you I make it to heaven before he does though..
Senseless question, life is about timing, luck, destiny and karma.
Look at the donald, his overall intelligence is about average...
The position Al and Bob achieved is more based on their character, perseverance and hard work rather than intelligence alone.
Forrest Gump is a perfect example of this.
Of Course Not! Most of us couldn't get into a Ivy League School if we was given all of the answers to their Entry Exams :lol1:
We ALL look STUPID trying to Tell Bob Arum, Al Haymon, Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren, Kathy Duva how to run Their Business. These are not stupid people, they know how to run a business and likely went to school and have Masters Degrees for it. Why would they take advice about their business from random people on a Boxing Forum whom judging by the behavior on this forum sometimes, I doubt some on this forum even finished High School Yet :lol1:
Haymon built a extremely Successful Concert Promotion and sold half of that to Live Nation for a TON. His Top Client made close to $1 Billion in Earnings during his career without Endorsements.
Bob Arum is one of the greatest Promoters in Boxing History an another Ivy League guy. Check that man Resume, it goes beyond the damn Mayweather and Pacquiao ERA. I always try to give Arum his Respect, that man is Legend. Nobody can build Stars like Bob Arum! While they may never give up the match ups we want when we want them, we eventually get them and by the time we get them these guys are the ones who walk away from those fights with a ton of money
Oh come on. If I was given the answers, I could at least make the waiting list.
I don't know anything about him really. His ivy league education really just tells me that he probably isn't stupid, but I wouldn't judge someone's intelligence based only on the name of the school they went to.
Are you a better boxer than a pro boxer?
Thought not. Don't ever speak pro boxing again.
.....................................................................
do you think you are smarter than al haymon?Haymon is worth many millions. He is very smart. I am just average for smarts and I am sure he is much smarter than I am. That doesn't make me a Haymon fan.
As a business man or boxing promoter? No. At least not that I know of.
When it comes to overall intelligence? Yes. lol @ the tools that said "They're Harvard graduates!" Education achievement does not prove overall intelligence.
Good answer.
Does the OP mean book smart or street smart?
Book smart means you can read a book and remember it for a test.
What does Haymon's intelligence have to do with anything?
He isn't a moron, but what does he know about boxing?
I would say not much, he has probably the greatest roster of fighters ever and we get some of the worst matchmaking I have ever seen in boxing.
The only fights that end up being good, usually happen by accident.
Imagine if Arum or King had the stable that he has? We would get to see Ali/Frazier and Ali/Foreman type of super fights, instead we get to see Paulie and Guerrero fighting the top guys, when we could see 10x better fights.

not for nothing, but there were PLENTY of Ivy league grads and so-called "smart" people at Lehman Brothers......
They sunk a once profitable business into the ground not because they were stupid, but because they did illegal things mostly with derivatives. There is no indication AL Haymon has done this.

It is extremely funny that posters on this board that may or may not have a HS diploma, dropped out of college, or are still in college believe they are smarter than someone that proved themselves by graduating cum laude from Harvard and then got an MBA from Harvard Business School.
