Let me just say its pretty bad ass that the heavyweight divison has some sizzle to it at the moment. Wilder is a knockout artist who has a desire to be the best, fury is a good boxer whose antics entertain the shiz out of me, and I can't wait to see those two fight. But I've never been as annoyed and embarrassed as a fight fan on Saturday night watching that ibf title fight. The fact that those two bums were fighting for a strap makes me wanna vomit. The fight and post interview was a joke. Martin won the damn title without landing a punch. How the hell is that possible? my friend who is a casual was witnessing that garbage and said "that's why boxing sucks". Is martin even considered a top 50 heavyweight? How the hell was he fighting for a title. It was a joke. So ill just say martin is probably the worst fighter ever to hold a heavyweight title. He sucks as fighter. He shows you that no matter how terrible of a fighter you are, no matter how sh***y your boxing skills are if you sign with Al Harmon he can make you a champion.
Stripping Fury in the first place was completely farcical. With that being said what has Martin done for you to deem him "horrible"? He looks like a pretty solid HW but I need to see him in with some better comp.
No more a disgrace than the pitiful effort displayed defending (and winning, for that matter) the lineal heavyweight championship at the end of last year.
In a division where there's a clear cut champion, i.e. at heavyweight where Fury now rules, any other belt is just a contender and that's what Martin is now, a contender. Same as Wilder, same as Povetkin and same as the rest.
I don't have a problem with the IBF sticking to their rules here. In fact I commend it. But a fighter like Martin should have never been in the position to contend for the vacated belt in the first place. I hope he makes the most of it while he's champ and conducts himself with dignity. This isn't his fault. But really Charles Martin sucks big balls.
I don't think it's really about Martin, but it's pretty sad when a unproven, unknown fighter like him can just walk into a major heavyweight title just like that. That speaks volumes about where boxing is at the moment, a heavyweight title used to be one of the most prestigious titles in sports and now someone like Martin can just walk into one. He did zero to earn that title.
I would be nice if ortiz were to get the chance vs martin.... but that's a mismatch for Martin cause he would get blown the f out. maybe Wilders next fight he can fight Martin right before his fight with povetkin to help him warm up. they could do it the same night seeing as wilder would only need about a round to dispose of him.
Stripping Fury so quickly and rashly was an idiotic move and to think some clowns here defended it lol. Well now Martin is the IBF champion and unless they are hypocrites anybody who says the IBF made the right call also needs to be able to say they think Martin is the true heavyweight champion ... not Fury.
It's karma biting Duva in the ass forvtaking the püssy way out of fighting the real champ for the belt, Glazkov should've taken the step aside money and fought the winner of the Klitschko Fury rematch.
If you believe in karma, you could say this was bad karma to Kathy Duva for forcing this. Kathy Duva just got red k'd by the god of boxing.

What type of Champion Martin will be is the key factor here, if he becomes that fighting Champion that people want then he will have no problem earning his respect as a Champion.
I like Martin vs Derek Chisora next, that is a excellent fight for his first title defense. I think Martin will be better Champion than Wilder because Martin already has Skills so he doesn't need to win a Championship then go back to fighting weak opponents to get better
Yes stripping Fury was a Joke but I do think this is good for the Division and even Fury because it somewhat allows them to build up Competition for him
He did nothing wrong. He showed up and fought and his opponent was unable to continue due to injury. (TKO)
I have no problem with it. He wants to fight the other champions and challenge himself so I welcome it.
But the HW division magically is exciting again right?
It's noticeably more exicting. And this is coming from a Wladimir Klitschko supporter, and I felt Fury-Wlad was close, and uneventful. I'm rooting for Wlad to win the rematch. But the HW division is more exicting now.
An underserved title shot to a fighter that didn't fight anybody with a glossy record.
Dude carries his chin up in the air and that title will pass hands quickly unless they schedule another bum
Can't feel bad for Glazkov because he has had a few gifts decisions and is not all that good in the first place
I think it's Karma coming back to bite Duva in the a**. Remember Czar sleazed out of a Wilder fight because he thought Martin was an easy route to a world title. I thought Martin was winning the fight anyway.
. Except when you said this; "So ill just say martin is probably the worst fighter ever to hold a heavyweight title. He sucks as fighter. He shows you that no matter how terrible of a fighter you are, no matter how sh***y your boxing skills are if you sign with Al Harmon he can make you a champion."
I don't disagree about it being a shame but you're not connecting some simple dots here and are getting too emotional, and contradicting yourself. It's easy topiece togetherhow this happened, as has already been explained.
your right bro,,, I was just ticked off about the situation
