Thurman vs Porter finally confirmed for Mar. 12 on prime time CBS

He talks a lot but there's an honesty about him. He's like a military guy leading boot camp. Team Porter just want to fight, I think any boxing fan can respect that. that's not my issue with him....he is a decent conditioning coach and disciplinary but he has taught his son nothing when it comes to technique and footwork......and no, he isn't honest about his son judging by the way he talks about him.

people want to say wilder sucks? man porter is ten times worse. at least wilder can throw a proper right hand from time to time. i was just watching porter vs broner and i still have no clue how broner could lose to a guy of that caliber. not one REAL "professional punch" was thrown by porter, just a bunch of windmill, wild-man rubbish. if thurman loses to porter he should just retire, thurman will get the job done though, i'm sure of it. kenny porter is just.....man, i don't even wanna go in on him because i could write a novel on what i dislike about him. i really wish it was danny garcia fighting porter tbh, because i know the dads will be talking trash.......it will also be gratifying to see garcia beat the crap outta porter because garcia is my favorite fighter right now. 50/50 Fight IMO, hard to pick this one

I dont know why, but I can picture this fight being similar to Bradley vs Alexander. I remember Hagler vs Hearns references before that fight just like this 1 and we all know how that turned out...

Cracking fight between two top ranked Welters. Thurman is untested against the real top guys in the division, whilst Porter lost to Brook but bounced back with a big win against Broner and is back in the mix. Pacquaio's fighting Bradley. Brook will hopefully be fighting Khan. If two of the 3 winners fight we could have a cracking year of matches at WW. Danny Garcia is in the mix too if he wins well on Saturday.

I like Thurman a lot but this should be his real test. Porter is no walk in the park by any means. Two scenarios: 1. Thurman catches Porter lounging in early for a highlight real KO 2. Porter makes it a rough fight inside resulting in a close decision which could go either way. I love this fight!

I mean he beat Collazo,Guerrero...OK But Porter beat Alexander, Paulie, Broner & lost a split decision to Brooks Somehow it seems that Porter has the better competition & he's a very strong guy....should be interesting. I don't see it being easy pls explain I want to share your vision...but i don't see it

That is an excellent fight between two of probably the five or six best welterweights in the world. I can't pick a winner because I think it's too close to call. It is the kind of fight Haymon should be putting together with his 200 or 300 fighters a hell of a lot more often. It sure beats the hell out of Garcia vs. Guerrero.

This will finally put an end to that "ducking" mess haters keep talking about, too. I can't wait to see this fight! I'm looking forward to this and UFC 197 that month!
