This thread is eerily similar to the recently made 'Who would win : Johnson or Rosado' thread.
''Which is best? : Golovkin's rumoured upcoming fight or Ward's rumoured upcoming fight.
Followed by : Who would win? :Golovkins rumoured opponent or Canelo's rumoured opponent.''
May as well lump it all in one thread, as the both appear to follow an obvious theme.
Nah, just random thread ideas that popped in my brain. What obvious theme are you referring to?

Another thinly veiled black vs. white thread?
Did you mean Black vs Korean, or Asian perhaps? GGG isn't white, sorry bud.
And no, you're wrong either way.
Barrera said he agrees with the money but is calling his boss to send the contract already after Ward said the fight was a rumor and he hasn't receive a contract.
Money is not the issue here.
What people say and what they do are usually two different things. I'm hoping they can meet in the middle and get the fight signed.....
Did I miss an announcement or something, how is Ward looking bad? All Barrera did was confirm the two sides are at odds over money which was already reported. Ward offered Barrera a career high payday and Barrera wants more. Those types of things happen in negotiations, how does that make Ward look bad?
If anything it seems like Barrera is trying to sabotage the fight by making silly statements in the media....can't recall many times when that approach has worked out well.

Sadly, it seems so.
OP got the result he was looking for, PARTY TIME!!

They're both okay. The difference is Golovkin's is a MANDATORY, meaning he has to take the fight in order to keep his BELT. Something biased idiots like you can't comprehend. Ward/Barrera is a solid matchup, but it's looking like Andre Bored is going to continue being a joke and pass on that fight in favor of a Periban mismatch or something similar. Keep stretching, dummy.

Johnson is GGG's mandatory but a sh1t fight
Ward seems to be playing games with Barrera and is looking like a real b1tch right now

Both Solid fights... Far from great but as said by Many, one is a mandatory and another a move up in weight against a solid opponent....
Although it seems Ward doesn't want to fight.

I voted they are both good fights. Both are rated in the top 10 in the world by some alphabet organizations. Ward is not a champion so he has no obligation to fight top 10 rated boxers but it makes his claim to be the pound for pound best look silly if he doesn't. GGG has to fight Johnson or lose a title belt. He has no choice. It is a good fight even if it will be another very short fight and another KO win for GGG.
Both solid stay busy fights... I can't hate on either one, especially if Kovolev and Canelo are next in line
GGG is not a stay busy fight , Did you see what the IBF did to Fury?
Both solid fights
