I see Canelo fans don't want him fighting Rosado. Can't blame them, it's a tough fight for Canelo. Rosado sent Bute back to JMW. On the other hand, Rosada is a JMW blown up a bit, so he's at least in the running. Except he punches hard. Don't want him fighting Monroe. Way longer reach, better boxer than anyone other than Lara that Red fought. Tough fight. He sure ain't fighting Lemieux. Where are these weak MWs? Maybe he could fight Rubio. Or Stevens. What will happen? Adama probably. Ishida. He's gonna fight a JMW who's old and carrying extra weight. Maybe he could handle Bute. Geale. That's the one. He's lost several in a row.
Why do ppl say he will end his career? I mean he'll lose and get battered, but why that he'd be done or retire after? Fighters of lesser caliber than Canelo have come back and challenge for titles, so?
Lou Dibella said the same thing, something like: it'll destroy a young career.
The only way GGG beats Canelo is if he lands something really big. Anyone saying GGG will destroy him is just hating on the Ginger. I, personally, favored Canelo in that fight.
Nacho just confirms and FOR HIM Cotto won the fight, saying that a lot of ppl influence in the results at the end.
Ahora q van decir enanos cabezones, q nacho no sabe de boxeo o q mas??? JAJAJAJAJA
LOL you're still clinging to that fantasy that Cotto won huh? Canelo ruined your lives
This overblowing of predictions reminds me of Garcia vs Matthysse. Only that they were both full blown JWW's, Canelo has to grow into a full blown MW. But when he does, or if K2 let's him, I think it's a wrap for GGG. I'm very dissapointed at the options for Canelo i'm reading of though, Rosado, Monroe Jr. I was hoping more like Andy Lee or David Lemiuex for a nice little testing the waters fight against a real MW, who Canelo would probably stop. Rosado, Monroe, that's weak stuff, that's what GGG's resume is made of. It's a huge drop in competition from 154 to 160 though.
Stopped reading right there. Canelo consistently weighs over 175lb on fight night. His body is that of a full blown middleweight. He just needs to fight some guys his own size (MIDDLEWEIGHTS) for a change. However, Canelo fighting guys his own size is not called "growing into a full blown MW." Its called, "fighting guys his own size" ffs
People said the same thing when Garcia was going to fight Lucas Matthyse, nothing is 100% in boxing, not that am comparing those two by the way (Dont want GGG fanatics making a big deal out of this post now).
I remember. Sadly a lot of those people made those picks because they were too busy sucking some promoter's d*ck or felt like Garcia was Haymon's boy. I remember how they concluded Garcia wouldn't last five rounds because of the weigh-in staredown

"Look at the way Matthysse is so relaxed. Hands in pocket like, I'm just gonna go in there and KO this punk."
:lol1:

Nacho also said that Margarito beat Cotto fair and square. Now what, maricon?? What's your opinion on that?
i'm calling bullshit on this, fukr.
jmm is on record saying that margarito is a disgrace to mexican boxing and i think that nacho's sentiment would echo that of jmm's.
now, mariposita - if you'd just correct me with that nacho statement, i'll quietly stfu and proceed with my day.
There doesn't seem to be a middleweight around who could stand with Golovkin, so you have to either move or frighten him with your power. You see guys like Stevens, Murray, or Rosado have temporary success with big shots or movement, but temporary success is a long way from winning.
Canelo has respectable power at JMW but that would hardly get it done against Golovkin. He doesn't have the stamina to fight off the back foot all night. So really all he's left with is continuously making Golovkin miss, countering him and stepping out of trouble. He has the hands and the timing for the countering part, but neither the defence nor the footwork for the rest of it. So he'll have to eat shots every round to fight his fight.
If Canelo proved to have much better punch resistance than people currently think then he could win for sure. But it would have to be punch resistance on a level few guys around at the moment have and I doubt he has that.
because of his style. he's not just some random pucnher whose only hope is to eventually withsomething big and put you out quickly.
he uses his jab and does precise, clinical damage. it usually takes several rounds. durable guys, which canelo is, are exhausted and figured out by the time the beating starts to take place. that kind of beating has a serious effect on a career.
think ouma. guy lasted 11 rounds, iirc, but ended up in the hospital. never fought a meaningful fight again, and was laid off for 2 years before he got back into 6 rounders
To be fair, Ouma wasn't a typical GGG fight, he held his own. But yeah, he did pay the price.
i think that is more dependent on how quickly golovkin's age catches up to him than anything canelo does. alvarez is ten years into his pro career now, he's hardly a prospect any more. in fact we probably know more about him even than we do about golovkin, thanks to the opponents he has been able to get in the ring so far
Golovkin should be fine in another year or two. Canelo will improve, making him more competitive against GGG but I don't know if it'll be enough to beat him. He did impress me against Cotto though so maybe I'm sleeping on him.

Most of the guys GGG beat either came in for the check and ran around the ring till they were cornered and dropped or just flat out sucked. I haven't seen Monroe in the ring since the GGG fight but he's one guy who came to bring it and took a good beating. Would be interesting to see if he's bounced back.
Monroe did not take a really bad beating. He knew exactly what he was doing in there. When he was getting tired and realized he was going to get hurt, he decided to barely lose the count. The ref did not get his message and was still going to allow him back in before Willie told him he had enough.
You're so weak, doe... They're all on PEDs and you know that... :)
... And I'm not either Russian or "Soviet"... :) I'm only having a good time watching your U.S (and American) guys and you the fans (as well) being terrified when it comes to fighting a "Soviet school" top product. :)
And i'm neither Russian, Soviet or American or African American, or Haitian, or African, or Black, or Brown, or Mexican, or Egyptian, or Turkish, or Polish :)
