Canelo - ESPN Fighter of the year 2015

Meh Canelo is the future, Floyd is the past and no one in the US cares about Fury. ESPN just doing the right thing for their readership and views. It makes sense and gets people talking about their choice even if it is an odd one.

I've read Dan Rafael for many years. He has always been fair to Mayweather. He criticizes Mayweather when it is necessary and also praises him. They get along well with each other. This award doesn't reflect a distaste for Mayweather on ESPN's part. if Mayweather didn't win fighter of the year with the ESPY's, who really thought he was gonna win ESPN fighter of the year? After may 2nd Stephen A smith had to roast a biased commentator Osuna about the outcome of the fight ESPN and RING get more attention for giving him bad press than awards and accolades Fat Dan does really know much about boxing in my honest opinion. Its casuals out there who don't do their own research and expect the media to so there job and not be biased

Rousey won ESPY fighter of the year not so long ago. Why would Canelo winning ESPN fighter of the year shock anyone? Individual awards for 'excellence' in sport are rarely earned.

Just to show you how much of a joke Rafael is he had Wlad in his top 10 p4p. Fury damn near shut out Wlad but Fury isn't in his top 10 p4p. So according to Dan if you dominate a top 10 p4p fighter you it doesn't earn you a spot in his top 10 p4p. If Rafael wasn't backed by ESPN he would not be taken seriously. Sadly casual fans read Dan but not sites like boxing scene. I made a similar point. Manny and wlad were the only espn top10 p4p boxers that lost this year. Shouldn't that count for something.

Floyd beat Manny in a fight that did 4.6 mil PPV's. Fury beat Wlad, who hadn't lost in over 11 years. Those are 2 EPIC wins, even if the fights were not as entertaining as we hoped. It's a shame that a fat biased cunt that knows **** all about boxing is such a prominent voice for the sport. I posted earlier that his bosses must have made him do it. I just can't believe he actually felt this way. Has to be political motivation. Whether its quality of opponent or significance of the win, there is just no way it's Canelo.

Mayweather beat Pacquaio and it was his award to lose and then he went out of his way to fight Andre Berto, the worst possible 147 opponent he could've fought when there was several strong 147 options that he didn't even consider. That was very weak. Golovkin is not a bad choice, depending on how you highly you rate Monroe. Lemieux and Murray were excellent wins and performances. Monroe, in my opinion is a top 10 middleweight that would outbox guys like Quillin. I understand that many disagree and think Monroe is trash. I understand. Fury has a win just as good as Mayweather but I don't even remember the other guy he fought this year. I've seen people mention DeGale...whatever. Canelo deserves it more than Mayweather and Fury The PED cheater should have lost the may 2nd fight, and failed to impress against an injured, washed up Pacquiao, then fought a bum and rode into the sunset Fury beat an absent minded Wladimir, but the fight was so terrible, so ****ing ****ty that both fighters deserved to lose. nothing glorious on that performance, just a tired old champion giving up his belt to a younger guy Canelo on the other hand, beat the rejuvenated version of HOF'er Cotto and the hardest puncher in the division and gave us a KOTY candidate. Canelo deserves it, although nobody had a truly great win this year :lol1::lol1::lol1: I don't even know where to begin with this post.
