and you took this as an opportunity to share your feelings GTFOH
For your information, I already posted in this topic about the actual subject. Maybe you should try to do that too.
They should fight each other
I think Thurman has earned the right to face more well known fighters than Spence. Thurman needs a fight or two with some people in the top 5. Spence is currently a step back, but I'd rather see Spence than another Collazo.
There's room for improvement in both guys. We all saw how sloppy Thurman was against a gatekeeper like Collazo. I think Spence can keep his 0 longer then Keith can.
Didn't look bad for an injured left hand. He still stopped Collazo.
Thurman is a fraud everyone can see right through that slick lisp.
This topic was about who has more superstar potential and you took this as an opportunity to bash Thurman.
Pathetic!
Spence is a charisma black hole, and he isn't that exciting to watch either, he gets the KOs(which he should at this level) but something is missing there. Thurman knows how to hype himself up and he was more exciting when he fought the guys that Spence is currently fighting. I don't see any of them becoming superstars but Thurman has more potential.
Thurman is way ahead. He has had more exposure and will get more if his next fight will be a top fighter.
Spence is still to step it up even though he looks to be more skilled and gifted
It's too early to tell at this point. Both are at different parts in their career. Thurman is a full blown contender while Spence is basically still a prospect so we'll have to wait and see how Spence will progress first. If he can remain unbeaten up until that time, then we can see for sure. As for right now, Thurman is more closer to superstar status than Spence is.
I picked about equal. I am disappointed with Thurman lately, but I still think he has the goods to be a real champ. I am just not 100% sure how badly he wants it.
Spence has everything going for him. He is still untested, but he really seems to want it. He has more to prove, but from what I seen he has the goods. I hope they start moving him along faster. There is no need in holding back talent. Having them fight lesser guys does not advance them.
I never pay attention to any type of hype. I only go by what I see in the ring. Mayweather was bragging on Spence and then he dropped Spence and backed Davis much more. I think Spence is a terrific prospect and I think he will be a star. I am wrong about things like this much of the time but I am on the Spence bandwagon. He is one of my favorite fighters.
Lomachenko
Spence is overrated like Imam and will be exposed soon.
That wasn't one of the choices. Why did you feel the need to bring up an Eastern Euro boxer in a thread that had nothing to do with him or his weight class?
I think Spence is much more likely to be a superstar. Thurman is a good fighter but he doesn't seem to be very rugged and even Collazo was able to hurt him. Thurman also seems to be taking easy fights lately. In some fights he has been cautious and safety first and even running some. Spence seems to be wanting to step up to better competition and says he wants to fight Thurman. Spence seems to have better all around skills than Thurman. Spence is always a vicious attacker coming forward and throwing bombs. He is a great body puncher. His constantly attacking style is more fan friendly than Thurman's sometimes cautious approach. Thurman may become a star but I think Spence is more likely to be the biggest star of 147.
Errol Spence has the talent, is also a southpaw w/ boxing skills & legitamate speed & has the national ameuter pedigree background. Lets face it not everybody becomes great, but i can see this kid making some noise...
I'd say Thurman but it's hard to say how things will go for Keith. People need to stop with the Spence hype, I saw him get hit with too many right hands and uppercuts his last fight. That guy has zero upper body movement, he's starting to look like a hard hitting version of Devon Alexander.
Absolutely. Exactly how I've seen it.
Thurman to answer the OP
Neither, because both are charisma vacuums and are going to lose big fights in their careers. I think Spence has more potential as a fighter but as a potential star, he is just as dead as Thurman.
That's odd, usually people say Thurman is charismatic. But he sure has been MIA as of late.
And for what reasons?
