Lol at the responses...154-168 doe :lol1:
So do the fight off of HBO. It's not like ggg hasn't done that...
The Monte Carlo fight vs Adama wasn't broadcast in the U.S.
If it had been broadcast in the US, it would've been on HBO.
You really think that if GGG fought Lara, no US broadcaster would pick it up?
It's right there for Lara if he really wants this fight(he doesn't)
Become the WBA mandatory at 160lbs. Haymon wins purse bids and GGG has to fight off HBO or drop the belt.
Danny Jacobs has had that WBA belt since Aug 2014. Jacobs vs Lara would be an in house fight to make
What is Lara waiting on? Why don't you know this already?
Lara can't even fight guys in the same Haymon stable as his, let alone a HBO guy. There's the Charlo brothers. There's Jacobs who is in the same division as GG, who Lara claims he wants to fight. There's also Andrade, who is a free agent. What a joke.
"PBC and HBO don't work together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't you understand that??????????????????????????"
"Jacobs is ducking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
F*cking hypocrites.
Lara and GGG can't fight because Haymon and HBO won't work together. THAT'S THE REASON WHY IT CANNOT HAPPEN. god some of you people are stupid as f*ck
This. Perfectly said too.
Since he's not getting Alvarez, if he doesn't get Lee/Saunders then Lara should be the backup option. If he doesn't get Lee/Saunders and then makes no effort to fight Lara, Golovkin should be criticized for it.
Because GGG's goal is to unify the middleweight title, not to put a name on his resume that impresses you. If Lara had a middleweight belt GGG would fight him and knock his damn head off. A better question is why is Lara fighting such garbage fighters since he lost to Canelo? He has defended his title against 3 unranked nobodies in a row now. Lara is the guy who needs to improve his resume. GGG has never lost or even been in a close fight and he just knocked out a champion. Lara, in contrast has two losses and two draws. Lara should target Jacobs who is also managed by Haymon. If he beats Jacobs he will have a belt that GGG wants and he will get that fight with GGG he claims he wants. Right now GGG has no logical reason to fight him. He is an unexciting runner who doesn't bring in much money and he does nothing to help GGG in his quest to unify the middleweight division.
Are HBO and PBC currently doing business?
If they are please name the fights because I would love to watch them. As of right now HBO is not negotiating with PBC, who knows it may change in the coming months, but as of now they are not doing business. It's that simple.
People are so quick to say that Loma should move up since he doesn't really have anyone to fight at 126, which I actually agree with, and they also want GGG to move up to 168. GGG will have the same problem at 168 that Lomachenko is currently having at 126.
People are so quick to criticize GGG about not moving up, but they don't want to point out that he probably won't be able to fight any of the top guys at 168. There aren't that many top names like most people think to begin with and the few big names are on the other side.
He won't get credit for beating a Gilberto Ramirez I'll tell you that. At least not right now.
If Lara really wants it then maybe he should talk to Al and see what he could do. Who knows maybe he'll be open to it and HBO and Haymon could start working together.
Your point has absolutely nothing to do with the question though.
So your saying geale and lemuix were bigger names? :lol1: Maybe elsewhere, but not here in America.
I'm telling you that Lara is neither the best nor the most well known name on GGG's resume.
You're saying he's a big star in America?
So how many people watched his last fight, on free to air TV?
I'll tell you - about 1/3 as many as watched Cotto/Canelo on PPV!
Im confused. Wouldnt this be one of the best (if not the best) name on his resume?
Isn't Lara with Haymon and GGG with HBO?
Anyway, the minute GGG KTFO of Lara at 160, haters will say: fighting JMW this hyped GGG.
My point is that GGG has beaten Geale and Lemieux, who were good enough to win world titles at 160. And I'm not talking about "regular" titles, like the belt Lara has.
And when did Lara become a "name"?
Outside of hard-core fans, nobody knows who he is.

The kid from Philly couldnt beat the best at 154 and he's one of the best on ggg resume...so whats your point?
Lara would still be the best name on his resume.
Edit: *Rosado
