After that performance this is a very tough fight to call. Should be an excellent fight and it's next up for both these guys as Eubank Jr challenges for the Middleweight title.
On a side note: could Eubank Jr actually be the man to dethrone GGG as his father Eubank Sr predicted?
he lost every round and was stopped because his corner thought he was going to die. how do you twist that into something else? because he landed a couple solid shots? and what happened to him in return? forget that part? oh yea lost every round and was stopped
Simply watch the fight. 1 and 2 were tentative, Rosado fought on solid terms Rds 3-5, near disaster in the 6th (rabbit punch gave Rosado enough time to clear his head and get back into the fight), did decent job in Rd 7, until that heavy double-jab, with about a minute to go in the round, made the cut really juice up, compelling the stoppage.
I've seen the full fight at least 6 times by now, so try informing yourself before spouting bull****.
Scar tissue cut aside, it's not like Rosado was taking some hellacious beating in there.
Then again, I doubt that you pay any real attention when watching a fight.
Golovkin's frequently been the smaller MW in in the ring. I don't see much of an advantage here. If you're implying Eubank Jr will give him problems at any distance no matter what style, I will confidently disagree. Regardless, I'd love to see Jr strike a pose in front of GGG.
BTW - the reality you shouldn't be ignoring is the fact that Golovkin was recovering from the flu in the Rosado fight. And, that Gabe's face looked quite a bit worse than Gennady's when his corner stopped it.
Gabe Rosado's face looked terrible because of the amount of blood that was coming out of his facial cuts and the split lip; wipe the face off and put some adrenaline 1/1000 in the cuts for a bit and Rosado basically ends up with heavy swelling on that left eye.
Watch the interview with Max Kellerman, Golovkin's nose got beat up a decent amount and Golovkin had obvious welts under both eyes, with what looked to be another welt settling in over his right right. (even before the interview, after Rosado's face gets wiped up and he's talking with Golovkin, Rosado looks basically normal (sans the swelling left eye and a busted lip).
Lastly, this new "Golovkin is smaller than the guys that he steps in with" story needs to be stopped in the crib; in Golovkin's last 10 fights, please name the ones where he was the smaller man heading into the ring. Simply looking at BoxRec, you can count maybe three who were bigger than Golovkin (Rubio, Murray, Lemeiux). Add the five fights before that, and you may be able to add one more name (Tapia).
Never said that Eubank Jr has to control the distance; simply pointing out that Eubank Jr can punch, Eubank Jr can fight from range, in-close, and off the back foot, and that Eubank Jr would walk into any such fight as the taller man, longer man, and the physically bigger man.
Gabriel Rosado, in his debut fight at middleweight, had plenty of success against Gennady Golovkin when he sat and fought; Golovkin had the blood and swelling on both eyes to show it. Ignore that reality if you want.
K2 will continue with the kid gloves on Golovkin, refusing to step in with anyone primed to expose the hype, until Golovkin can at least lock away one major payday for K2.

I love how people overrate a guy based on one top ten win. Jacobs isn't going to bloody anyone up. Should be an tough competive fight for both men but the guy who can take a punch the best will get the victory.
If they fight next, I'll pick Eubank in a war. If they fight a year from now, Eubank easy.
Personally I'd rather see them not fight one another and instead both be fed to Golovkin. Feed Danny to Golovkin now, let Chris fatten up and feed him to Golovkin in another year.
Jacobs getting madly overrated for catching Quillin early.
YES. Jacobs will never be more highly regarded than he is now. If he fights GGG soon, it will be amazing how quickly he becomes a bum who landed a lucky punch on Quillin.

I don't get it either. Eubank Jr was getting backed up by a man coming forward with his hands to his side. Sullivan was able to easily time Eubank & land that left hook for the rds. If Jacobs lands one of those it's over. There's levels to this and Eubank ain't on Jacobs level.
Where are people getting this ridiculous idea that Jacobs stops Eubank with one punch?
Seriously?
He's a good puncher for sure, but against who? Eubank is a very good fighter and by many accounts has his fathers iron chin.
Jacobs on the other hand has a suspect chin.

The face of success. ( Btw, rosado had fought above 154 a total of 14 times before facing golovkin,so I don't know where you're getting all this "debut" nonsense from.
Gabriel Rosado had ONE fight at 160 before fighting Golovkin; if you want to sit and count contract weight fights at 155lbs, 156lbs, or 157lbs as "middleweight fights:, come out and say it.

I need to watch that Quillen fight I think , there enough in that to really suggest Chris Eubank can't live with him? I must only see this guy at his worst I guess.
I agree with the lad that said Jr might be able to reach success with his chin. His father may be clouding my judgement with that too as well as his impassive face at all times.

We don't know if Eubank Jr has a good chin either, he was wobbled 2-3 times by a D level caveman in Spike who is by no means a puncher, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in that department.
And Eubank is nowhere near the skill level of Jacobs, if he fights against Jacobs the way he's fought so far in his career, he's not getting past 5 rounds.
Eubank was hardly wobbled ,he took some good shots and kept coming. I didn't see any moment in which he was in trouble.
Plus it doesn't take a lot to be more skilled than Jacobs.
Suspect Eubank Jr has an iron chin.
Makes me have a lot faith in him especially as his stamina looks great. Jacobs has mixed in better company but I suspect Eubank can outlast him.
What makes Jacobs better?
Jacobs doesn't have a good chin, his stamina is kinda crap but he does have power, so logic dictates he has a puncher's chance against a more skilled, better conditioned and quicker fight in Eubank.
The WBA is probably the easier route for Eubank to take but I'd prefer a WBO fight versus Lee/BJS.

Eubank Jr is a C level fighter, Jacobs would mop the floor with him
