DeGale fights nothing like Froch and Kessler.
Ward hasn't faced anyone with DeGale's skillset.
Same can be said for DeGale too Dirk.. It's a very good fight.
I was once accused of being biased (backing Arthur Abraham to beat Miranda in the rematch) because I'm a "euro".
Always find that odd.
And if they had read some of your threads in the lounge they would've called you bias for Miranda despite being a "euro". Can't win with some ppl.
My mistake, I assumed anyone of the opinion that Degale or Bute would easily beat Ward would have to be making those bold statements out of nationalistic pride, instead it's just pure stupidity
Are you under the impression that DeGale and Bute are the same nationality? :lol1:
I'm not British you ****ing retard.
Has nothing to do with nationality. It has to do with style.

So, you being of Romanian descent has nothing to do with your support for Bute?
DeGale completely embarrasses Ward. Just like Bute would've in 2011.
Do you post for pure shock value or are you really this dumb?
Nationalistic pride is a good thing, but you have to keep your feet on the ground. 1776 was a long time ago, get the fvck over it already
degale's definitely a live dog. still, you've got to figure that ward's got what it takes to beat degale when he's at his best. if degale's movement is giving ward problems and winning him rounds ward can always go all the way inside and work. he's shown the ability to do it consistently.
i haven't seen the dirrell fight in a while, but i do remember a marked contrast between his gas tank in that fight and the bute fight. he looked very fit against bute, but he always looks fit. more importantly, he's learning how to pace himself in a 12 round boxing match. every time he looekd lik ehe was going to tire he'd come back with a combination and get back on his toes. it was enouhg to win him some rounds agaisnt bute that might have been close otherwise. degale showed me a good deal of improvement and professionalism against bute.
still, there's a huge difference between fighting a timid lucian bute, who has never been the same since froch, and ward. ward's got a reputation as a spoiler, which is something that he does from time to time. he doesn't get the credit deserved for being relentless and physical. he's a rough customer on the inside. he's extremely well balanced in terms of where and at what distance he can be effective. i'd call him the most rounded fighter in boxing if he were aggressive or a big puncher, but he's not. it's a lot of work to fend off a guy who is pressing you to the ropes with his shoulders and using his leg strength, but you don't take a beating or get knocked out the way you would against a bigger puncher.
ward on points. the interesting question is whether or not ward's lost a step because of the layoffs and father time. that's not taking anything away from degale. he just doesn't fight as good at any distance, and isn't a big enough puncher to keep that from mattering.
And let's say, Andrzej Fonfara beats everyone that DeGeale or Groves has fought.
A bigger decent guy beats a smaller decent guy...
It really is simple! :lol1:

When comparing two Brits, yes. :lol1:

Fixed it for you. :lol1:
I'd like Degale to fight two more times against Jack and guys of that level, Ward is in his own class, so you need to be at your best. This is assuming Ward can make 168 easy and is still fighting there. At this point Ward.
Thats not what I was implying, I meant that he is on a similar level to those guys, not that he fights the same. Ward is a level above all these guys including Degale. He might not have faced a fighter with that skillset but I can't see him struggling with it. He is superior on the outside and to be honest I think he is better on the inside too, Degale is a dangerous fighter, but Ward doesn't make the type of mistakes that for example Dirrell does. He isn't that sloppy but he is equally gifted, if not more so. He really is a tall ask for any fighter, I think Kovalev has a good shot, but other than that I can't see any of these guys giving him much issues.
Are you implying that movie actor from Creed is better than real life boxer? Andre Ward is only an actor that portrays fictional character you dumb ass...

Who do you think is a better fighter than Groves?
I do agree with you to a certain extent but Dirk is also correct Groves is better than anyone GGG has beaten, so are Dirrell and Bute.
What is GGG's best win? Lemieux? Murray? Even if those guys were the same size as the other 3, they are not as good to the eyeball test, or as polished fighters. Lemieux and Murray's results are also not as strong in their respective divisions.
Based on what? Geale is a former MW champ, so is Lemieux, and so should be Murray.
Unlike Groves who's claim to fame is knocking down and giving aging Carl Froch a good fight.
Other than that, he beat (but did he?) green DeGeale, Glen Johnson's corpse and just lost to Jack in a fight in which he was favoured to win. Not to mention he's looked like **** ever since the Froch KO.
Hardly a good fighter, just a lucky guy who was a bad stylistic match up to an aging Hall of Famer.
