Lomochenko is ranked #10 P4P... Personally I find it Moronic and obviously too many people feading into these so called "Analyst" pockets... Your thoughts?
Gonzalez
Kovalev
Canelo
Ward
Golovkin
Pacquiao
Bradley
Crawford
Uchiyama
The first 9 guys are non debatable. You can debate the order, but not the fighters.
The debate starts at 10.
Rigo?Lomachenko?danny?Cotto?
I don't mind it. He only has 7 fights but most of the guys on the pound for pound list only have 3-4 quality fights themselves. Just a bunch of non-risk takers begging for paydays.
Lomachenko is a risk taker who's sought greatness by fighting for a world title in his second pro fight. His win over Russell destroys Golovkin's best win.
I have no problem with this.
it seems p4p rankings on all of these sites and publications are simply about who people like more. No longer about the tings that matter, you know, resume and performance against top ranked fighters from around the world. Loma is an excellent fighter. but hes not p4p material as of now, even if i'm convinced he could be skill wise, his resume is completely bare.
I like Loma ,great fighter to watch but this Sh.its a joke
He has 1 win over Gary Russell nothing else is worth mentioning.
For the most part Espns list is pathetic why not just say this is HBOs P4P list
I might have him in the same range if I had a list.
P4p is subjective. Most complaints I see on this board about fighters on p4p list is "who has he beat?" Well, as we all should know, boxing is all about politics and maneuvering now so the best fighters are actually the most avoided ones. It's not like the old days.
The eye test works for me.
If we go by accomplishments, bhop should be #1, yet I don't see him on anyone's list.
I think they've been listening to Roy Jones. I don't think he has the accomplishments to be in that discussion and I think he even knows that. I remember someone asking him about it and him looking almost embarrassed in response to the translation. But he's headed in the right direction imo and if he can have a couple of good years in 2016 and 17, then I think he'll be in there somewhere.
He is FANTASTIC to watch however.
