Honestly I just used Mayweather vs Lara as an example, but when 2 elite footed mobile boxers fight, how is the aggressor determined? Typically I know networks really dont care to put on matches between 2 mobile boxers, so does anyone have an example of a good match between 2 (elite) fleet footed boxers where 1 takes the initiative to agress while still utilizing lateral movement?
Mayweather will make Lara initiate. He will shoot those jabs to the body. Rack up points in increments like that. If Lara doesn't want to give away that round then he has to initiate.
Mayweather would do his usual
Start by standing just out side of range and use his fast jab, as he racks up the points he would turn to his footwork and pick off the shots against Lara and staying well away, Lara would then have to be the aggressor to try and get points n fall into the Mayweather trap...
So to speak...
Floyd would likely get ahead on points and knowing it's a Las Vegas fight, Lara would be forced to become the main aggressor.
However I think Floyd outboxes Lara in the pocket with short and quick shots. Upper body movement from Floyd would make Lara miss as Floyd racks up points.
I hope both fighters have extra soles for the bottom of their shoes.... That would be one snooze fest I'd have to pass on.
The referee would be the only one watching that fight.
Well I wouldn't necessarily call it a fight, it's be like 2 girls giving each other dirty looks across the room lol!!!!!!
The referee.
LOL they would both stand on opposite sides of the ring running back and forth and Floyd would get the decision LOL!!!!
The referee would be doing all the fighting is right
I think Mayweather would find some way to get Lara to initiate that fight. He'd definitely have to go forward sometimes, but I think for the most part Lara would be on the front foot.
Lara would be.
Between two fighters with similar defensive styles, the one who has to come forward is the one who isn't skilled enough to win the outside battle. In this case Mayweather is the more skilled fighter and would make Lara do what he isn't comfortable doing.

Watch Mayweather vs Canelo. That answers the question.

I say Floyd bc one doesn't want to stay on da outside vs Lara. .the Cuban weakness is fighting on da inside..so early on it will be a chest match..imo da later rounds will have some action once Floyd gets inside..so imo Floyd will be the aggressor early on..
I think Lara would be the guy coming forward. Typically a fight between two counter punchers has the bigger guy being the aggressor. I think Floyd would only come forward if he absolutely had to.
