What fight would you rather see? I feel like Golovkin is kind of stuck in the middle of weights. He's a middleweight, but Cotto wants to fight him at a catchweight, DLH doesn't want to put Canelo in there with him yet. Ward is moving up to light heavyweight. Everything seems to be about timing. And I feel like there are some time limits to consider. It seems like if Golovkin wants to fight everyone, he needs to start with Andre Ward, since its pretty much done deal that he's going up to light heavyweight. Maybe his injury can stall the transition. So it looks like he can only fight either Cotto/Canelo winner or Andre Ward. If it was up to you, who would you rather have him fight? I'm satisfied with either or. I'm at the point of get what you can get. Whichever opportunity presents itself first, go for it.
The fight I want to see more would be GGG-Ward. I believe GGG takes it, but it would be an interesting clash of styles.
However, the ultimate GGG fight for me would be against Kovalev. Pipe dreams?
Definitely Canelo then ward. Cotto won't fight him... And the ward fight will be ugly because ward will make it an ugly fight and probably win by decision.
Ward vs GGG
2 undefeated fighters that have ran through the competition. Fighting each other.
Cotto and canelo have both tasted defeat, I rather see 2 dudes who don't know how to lose battle it out. i.e ward vs golovkin
Golovkin vs Canelo.
Canelo is almost the same size as Golovkin, except slightly heavier. That's a perfectly fair match since the weight gap shouldn't be more than 5 pounds. Plus, their styles will lead to an interesting clash. Ward would have a height, reach, and 10+ pounds weight advantage. Cotto would have a height, reach and 10+ pounds weight disadvantage.
Only fight that definitely needs to happen, and that I think would be the most exciting is definitely Golovkin vs Cotto.
Sorry, I misread your post.I only saw Cotto not the winner of Canelo vs Cotto. I think Canelo wins that fight so I will change my pick. I want to see Gigantic GGG vs tiny little ward. It would be my pleasure to see Gigantic GGG knock tiny chicken ward out and into retirement. As little fighting as tiny ward does he might as well be retired now.
If only GGG and his team had your confidence!
Not interested anymore, there's no up side in it for Ward. Despite Ward stating he can still make 168 and was actually compelled to move up by HBO, many would state Ward was simply too big for GGG if he won.
A victory over Kovalev would do more for Ward anyway since Kovalev is more accomplished professionally than GGG.
If the few good JMW's like Canelo, Lara, Andrade, and the Charlo's move up to 160 and fight a few top 10 guys there, which really there is not much up there, they can prepare themselves to fight GGG. But I don't like Canelo vs Golovkin right now, I rather see Canelo beat a real MW like Andy Lee first, or Saunders if he wins. The only JMW that would be okay to fight GGG in his first MW fight is Lara. I think that also as a good testing the waters fight, GBP should make Canelo vs Lemiuex if they can't get Andy Lee. Lemiuex is not all that much, but that would give Canelo a TKO win over a real MW. Even Geale is a good testing the waters fight. Guys who I think Canelo can stop are Lee, Lemiuex, Geale, and a win over any of the two of Lemiuex and Geale will give him a common win with GGG and people can make comparisons on how they each looked. Canelo vs Golovkin right off the bat would not be wise in a career sense and business sense.
Geale is making a move to SMW. But i'm sure if the offer was there at MW he'd take it.

GGG wanted Ward two years ago but Ward passed. Now Ward is irrelevant. He brings no fans, no money, nothing, he also cant even make 168 any longer. So is GGG supposed to move up 2 weightclasses to fight a guy who is inactive for almost 3 years?
Just a couple GGG haters pretend to be Ward fans on this forum. How many are there? Maybe 50?
The fight we want to see is GGG vs Canelo who should send Cotto into retirement.
I had to laugh at this madness.....
I think I have seen enough with Lemiuex vs Rubio, Alcine, and Golovkin to know that the guy will just lay an egg in every big fight. He's just not a to caliber opponent. Beating Rosado did not prove that, neither did beating clumsy N'Dam.
With Lee, i've seen all I need to see with his fights vs very limited Chavez Jr, and journeyman Brian Vera.
Neither of those are toss up fights to me, Canelo either easily outboxes them or knocks them out, specially Lemiuex. Those body shot combinations will have DL hurting.
That's ok bro. We r going to have to agree to disagree. REgardless they are future fights i would love to see once Canelo man up and go to MW...
