Can you name a boxer that posses or used to posses a good physical body, speed, boxing ability, power but did not reached as far in boxing as people think they will in the beginning and for what reason?
My first is Zab Judah - given, at some point Zab was the lineal WW champ but that was in a time where the WW division was not as strong.
For me he is the biggest waste of talent that could have gone really far in boxing, he could have beat Floyd if it wasn't for his attitude and the lack of trainer (his father).
If you find any typos or incorrect worc, sorry my main language is spanish.
Francisco Bojado had all the hype in the world. He had fans in other boxers he was thought to be the next p4p champ. He lost his 2nd or 3rd fight and went all down hill from there. By his 6th fight he was irrelevant.
I could think of four just off the top of my head at the moment.
And these are :
1. Jermaine Taylor
2. Kelly Pavlik
3. Paul Spadafora
4. Panchito Bojado
Mikey garcia
Mikey, really? I'm a big fan of him and his style. He reminds of of earlier Miguel Cotto boxer puncher style. I waiting for him to get in the ring again
I have to agree with you. I totally forgot about Victor Ortiz
same thing applies to everyday life imo..
a guy with a 22 pistol thats ready to die is more effective than a guy that has all the guns in the world but is undecisive
on physical note, zab Judah or Ortiz are the fighters that come to mind
but it just proves that talent alone can only take you so far..
boxing is 90% mental they say and I agree
thus why there are fighters with limited talent but great hearts who have accomplished way more than they were expected to
