Ward vs Fonfara

I'd like to see it, Ward fighting a larger busy fighter

Fonfara has made good showings against three big fighters but I don't consider any of those three to really be that good. Unfortunately Stevenson, Chavez Jr, and Cleverly were all to some degree domestic hype jobs from their respective countries and their resumes don't match their fame. He does not pass the "eye test". His style is just so damn basic and he doesn't fight tall despite being a beanpole. I think it would be a rather easy fight for Ward. But a good payday for Fonfara and a good return to "name" opponents for Ward.

Excellent fight. I just don't know what happened to Ward. This guy was easily the best fighter in boxing during the super six. You can't earn Floyd, Pacman money just because you're great. Boxing stardom doesn't work like that. Such a waste of a truly great fighter...............

its the perfect fight for ward to start his 175 campaign, but we have yet to see haymon and roc nation do a fight together. so don't hold your breath

I would like to see that fight. Of course it won't happen because fonfara is with Haymon and it probably wouldn't happen anyway because Ward wants softer touches.

Anyone else think this would be a good fight for Ward to test out 175? Too risky for Ward, Fonfara probably whoops his ass.

Do you need educating on the matter? Andre has looked soft at 168. If he were cut and bulging at 168 then it makes sense that he could make 175 clean. When you're soft at 168, and are still in perfect fighting shape, then you're not a true 175lber. I know there's a crowd of you that are circle jerking over the idea that Ward is 2 weight classes above Golovkin but that'sjust you guys playing the fool. He will gain 7 lbs of muscle, and he has a very good height and reach even for 175. So no, he won't be undersized at 175.

i dont see any defense in fonfara...he punches hard and in volume but i dont think he would bring much game against ward
